Lopez's best chance is at 105lbs but i'd still probably marginally favour Gonzalez. Above, any weight above, Gonzalez all the way. The problem is that Lopez is seen as bigger than he is in real life. He has slight reach advantage here but it's almost nothing. One half step buys it and that suits Gonzalez down to the ground. The real problem for Lopez is that Gonzalez is a better fulsome puncher than him. Gonzalez flows better. He reaches eight punches with the same fluidity with which Lopez could fire four. Inside it's a no contest. Any round where Gonzalez buys the inside he loses. He might take a split of the ones fought on the outside, but as I say, I favour Gonzalez here too. Clear decision.
I think it's as simple as Lopez at 105, and Gonzalez at 108. But like McGrain, I could also envision a Gonzalez win at 105. I can't really see a Lopez win at 108. It speaks volumes that Lopez had Hell with Alvarez, a damn good fighter, but less than Gonzalez in every way. Ahhh, what the Hell! I'd just pick Gonzalez at any weight.
Lopez has way faster hands and feet than Gonzalez, he'd pick him apart and KO him at minimumweight and light flyweight
