this guy can't be serious .

 

he knows he will not have a megafight in boxing again, might as well take his chances in MMA :rofl.

 

It has been rumored but i think its highly unlikely to happen.

 

Imagine Mayorga letting his guard down and goading his opponent to kick him in the face instead.

 

Call me crazy but i actually feel that Mayorga would do well in MMA with some training of course.

 

Hopefully he does well, if boxers (above club level) do well in MMA then boxings popularity may increase a bit more... from the guys I talk to it seems MMA's popularity seems to spawn from the fact that they believe in a "real" street fight an MMA guy will beat a boxer.

But you know last night they had UFC 95 on TV and I watched the main event despite it being ****ing boring just to compare it to boxing.

You had two guys who were boxing for three 5-minute rounds. They boxed the whole time and barely threw a kick every once in a whle. And let me tell you something, they sucked. If that was PW in there he would have knocked both out in 1 round. They wouldn't even be able to get close to him without eating an uppercut or a jab so forget about takedowns.

The elite boxers would do well in MMA and beat alot of a top fighters because MMA is still a young sport that hasn't had the evolution of boxing yet.

That's unfair for the MMA guys, now Mayorga is going to rule over their sport and they can't do anything about it :/
