I came across an old Ring magazine when Mayorga was on the cover and it said " The craziest man in the sport lites up boxing " and I noticed even then Margarito was ranked pretty high. What would've happened if the two mixed it up?

    I'll pick Mayorga TKO 9.

Margo will TKO Mayorga round 8. Mayorga cant jab or box, tools and skills needed to beat Margo. Mayorgas style is perfect for Margo

Margarito has bad defense, and he has nothing that will stop Mayorga's windmill-like pressure.

    Two crazy good chins.

I dont know about Mayorga being the perfect style for Margs. The perferct style for Margarito is the several fighters he faced who get discouraged when they see that they cant hurt him. Mayorga wouldnt give a **** nor would he back down.

Would have been a great brawl. Still would be.

Mayorga would laugh at his shots same as Margo did against Cintron.

The difference is that Margo goes to the body. Mayorga doesn't.

Expect this one to end on a hard body shot from Margo.

so margarito stops a mayorga that has a training camp hard enough to get him to 147, and hes going to stop him the same time as Trinidad did it at middleweight when he landed 60% of all power punches and mayorga gave him 3 free left hooks?

    not a chance in hell....

Mayorga at 147 in 2004 goes the distance thats for sure, would have been a hell of a fight where i think margarito would win with his non stop activity, and i dont think mayorga could hurt him... but he lasts the distance thats for sure.

I SO WISHED this had happened. Margarito by UD or even late tko in a war. He's a much better boxer then Mayorga. While I think Mayorga might have the better one punch power, Margarito punches look consistently harder.

war if it had happened. mayorga had a good chin, underrated timing, good pressure, threw nothing but power punches and had decent stamina. margarito has a good chin, good workrate, durability and good stamina. considering both guys had poor defense, this one is'nt going the distance. tossup fight, but i'd probably go for mayorga due to his faster hands and better power. if margarito's head is stationary, mayorga will find it everytime.

Draw in a streetfight where the two go to the canvas.
