Two tough Hombres who had similar career obits but never did find themselves on a collision course both were made for the tough contender role but grit and determination became champions, its still sometimes surprises that multi-talented performers like Forest and Judah could fall victim to Ricardo and Carlos, both later flirted with the Lt-Middle division, but by that time Ricardo was little more than a Pantomime Villain and Carlos as slow as trickle, still they fattened their pension pots somewhat... But at their respective welterweight primes, a tough night in prospect for most, with Carlos's aggression constant like the tide coming in...and Ricardo's more like a series of sudden flash floods .... whoever named Ricardo "Ël Matador" must of had a sense of Humour "Ël Gorer" might of been more appropriate ? so who gets swept away in a swell encounter...and who chomps on that victory cigar at the end ..? Carlos or Ricardo ?
Prime Mayorga kicks Baldomir's ass. Outside of having a tough chin, Baldomir was about as limited as you can get. It's kinda hard to beat Mayorga if you don't have either the power to hurt him, or the skills to outbox him. Baldomir had neither. I'm not sure if Mayorga stops him, because Baldomir did have a tough chin, but Mayorga wins a pretty clear decision.
