Knowing a fighter and his career involves more then just seeing the results of the fight, like I said, boxing is more then just W's and L's. Mayorga wasnt a joke, period. And you just show ignorance by stating that. You can spout fight results all day, if you actually watched any of those fights besides the Oscar and Tito one you would see why he was champ at one point. So he los to some of the best fighters of his era.... so hes a joke atsch Wow...

Just because he wasnt the best, or a great fighter, doesnt make him a joke. Thats one of the problems with boxing is fans who think if your not great, your nothing. Mayorga got himself and competed multiple times at a level of boxing most fighters never get to, and not only did he get there, when he got his shot he took it.

And lastly, again, if he was such a 'clown', id love an explination on why Spinks couldnt beat him easily and needed a ref who let him fall to the floor every other round, deduct multiple points from mayorga, let spinks bend below his waist constantly and the fight was STILL an MD. Spinks had an easier fight with Jermain Taylor then he did with Mayorga.
