Here is a fun fight and Mayorgas akward power, machismo and chin vs Pipinos wrecking ball left hook and pre Hearns chin....can Mayorga take very many left hooks from Cuevas?

I can't c Mayorga standing there and taking those shots lol. He will give it a go and once he feels a clean one he will change his game up and through the macho junk out the door. He will land some too but he will stand and trade with Cuevas once to often and hes done.

Cuevas would knock out Mayorga in about 6 or 7. Entertaining fight.

Mayorga would have a better chance if he broke into a junkyard and had to fight off a horde of very hungry and very angry junkyard dogs. Same end result as taking on a prime Pipino, anyway.

Whats up with ya Russell! Hope all has been well. Mayorga would have to enjoy his nicotine intravenously after Cuevas was finished with him.

Mayorga must have insulted you for you to make this matchup.

Cuevas executes him in 5, tops.

    Cuevas by KO

He hits harder and has the better (slightly) chin prime for prime.

Mayorga of the Lewis and Forrest fights is being underestimated here. He boxed pretty damn well in the Forrest rematch, and his chin at that time was genuinely granite. Mayorga taking Cuevas out would be no surprise at all.

Cuevas by KO after an entertaining 5-8 rounds of brawling.

Things are pretty good, I can't complain too much, thank you.

Mayorga would have to go about receiving his multiple vices in all sorts of new ways once Cuevas had a few rounds with him, you're absolutely right about that.

How about you, RC? How's life, and catch any good fights lately?

Cuevas had, at his best, that kind of power that no one ever really proved capable of absorbing without serious harm. He wasn't just a "good" puncher. He was a devastating puncher.

Look at what the face of ultra brave Billy Backus looks like after just one round of absorbing Cuevas' heavy artillery. It's like a welterweight Frazier/Foreman, in more ways than one.

Good god .Cuevas would destroy Mayorga. Cuevas was the real deal without all the BS gimmicks of Mayorga.

I've been ok I guess, thank you. I watched Arguello-Fernandez l recently, and I intend to start a thread on it...very interesting tactical bout...especially Villomar's tactics.
