    At 147lbs, he truely was an animal!!! He could let guys like Forrsest tee off on him and dish out extra punishment. Would loved to have seen Mayorga go toe to toe with some one like Margarito. That would have been some sight. There is something very likeable about this man, i usually like boxers not fighters.

    True he does not have a great resume BUT he came from near obscurity and in two fights held two versions of the welterweight belt and lost to cory spinks in a unification match. This man was dangerous at 147lbs. He dethroned a Vernon Forest who many avoided.

    He's not as raw and hungry as he was a few years ago.

    He used to go in there with an "I don't give a F*ck" attitude and could care less how good the other fighter was proclaimed to be.

    Today, he shows some of that, but then complains to the ref every time he gets hit in the side or back of the head

    Yeah but he came from Managua to do that while glass heart Zab had been a proper amateur,sparre with Pernell and had all the conditions.

    His smack talk game is second to none. The whole translator thing is too funny. Imagine having to translate such **** talk!! My favourite 'i had a dream last night, i threw an orange at fernando vargas's chin......and knocked him out'.

    He is a crazy son of a gun but awesome entertainment!!

    Will be remembered as a great gatekeeper I guess.

    Did he say something about dancing over Cory Spinks then recently deceased mother? Or sending him to hell with her? Outrageous.

    Whats that word he always uses in spanish? Malicong or something. To Vargas: 'He looks nice and round, like my 8years old's arse'.

    Mayorga is entertaining for sure, Big Attitude, Big Ball's and Big Mouth.
    I was laughing my ass off in the build up to the De La Hoya fight with all the smack talk he was dishing out about Oscars wife.
    But when he lost he showed humility and apologized to Oscar so i suppose he knows how to sell a fight.
    I'll Never forget the fight with Tito, Pure Machismo and great to watch despite him getting beat up i still love that fight.

    Yeah he said something along the lines of sending him to hell with his dead mother where he will dance all over them. LMAO :yep I love it when he says that maricon. He uses it an aweful lot and puta as well. Love the way when he loses he is so humble.
