The ref pauses the action with just ten seconds left in the 7th to have García's corner man hop up on the apron to re-tape his glove. I'm not sure the gloves are his biggest problem here, but okay whatever. His chief second looks disgusted with Tostado's ineffectiveness and doesn't even make any eye contact while taping him up, and then flings his wrist away before jumping down when done.

 

8 rounds to none for Moreno. García is flurrying back a little more animatedly now, obviously not wanting to suffer the indignity of being the first man stopped by Chemito in nearly a decade - but he's tired, and getting picked apart rather easily now. Mexican toughness or now, punches and pace are taking a toll.

 

Moreno cruises and García survives.
