Both are champions. Both are American. This would be an excellent fight. Sandoval was a dark horse of the division, toppled Teraji, something which both Olascuaga and Yabuki couldn't do. In my opinion this was good for the division, it makes things more exciting. And I say this as someone who is a huge fan of Teraji. Olasguaga is very exciting to watch and is someone, who I think has star potential. This would be the most logical next fight for both and I hope it happens. :chuck:

I'd lean toward Sandoval. I think Sandoval vs Yabuki would be a more interesting fight in all honesty, the two Teraji conquerors battling it out. Sandoval impressed me a lot against Teraji though. Showed a lot of grit, craft, and composure. In contrast, Olascuaga looked a bit clueless against Kyoguchi in a fight I thought he clearly lost. Teraji has a much better jab than Olascuaga and Sandoval was able to consistently counter it and find ways around it, so I think he would be a bit of a nightmare match-up for Olascuaga, who relies very heavily on his jab.

If this fight were made, it would probably be most profitable in Japan, since American fight fans don't really care about the lower weight classes. Which is pretty sad, since you have two very marketable and very talented fighters who can't even get good paydays fighting in their own country.

I really like Olascuaga due to his athleticism and aggressiveness, but Sandoval has more tools at his disposal, so I would have to lean towards him.
