Ricardo Torres vs Juan Urango. Who wins and why?

i got torres by ko. i think his power will eventually break down urango.

Ngoudjo will take Urango down, and torres as well.

But to answer, Urango would probably beat torres.

 

Urango is very crude and Torres is more skilled. I favor Torres in this matchup.

I think Urango was tarnished by Hatton 'A view of an American', but i think Urango is a one mean ****er and just as strong as Torres and i think it's a 50/50, can't decide.

 

Urango has not had the pleasure of being knocked out by Cotto in the Pro ranks yet.

Torres takes Urango by KO. Overall better fighter and more starch
in his punches.

so i acutally retract my previous statement of this fight...
i dont really know who would win then...would have to review some fights before taking an answer

but i still say Torres cuz the guy is a beast

 

Talk about a shootout. Neither of these guys have much defense.

That being said, Urango is a huge puncher, southpaw stance, but shorter and stocky.

Torres is a more refined puncher, who IMO is essentially the Columbian Tito Trinidad. Such natural power in both hands, amazing punching technique. He also has the better defense overall.

I think Torres would be favored and I'd likely pick him by a late TKO.

50/50, Urango has been doing very well after the Hatton fight. Actually, it could happen if Urango wins his fight and Torres wins his fight. They can unify the belts and the winner could fight Bradley. Hatton is looking to make money not gain belts so I don't see him in the mix. He is having Oscar visions.

 

Excellent match up. Tough fight to call but I think I'd go with Urango here. Basically, I think he could handle Torres' power better than the other way. Torres makes for fun fights.

 

Torres is a much better rounded fighter with better speed . . . so T/KO or decission I'll pick Torres.
