alright we have to great fights at 140 this year....Hatton Vs. Malinaggi this weekend then Holt-Torres III on Dec. 13

so after the winner of Hatton-Malignaggi is decided and after Torres starches Holt....if this was to go down who would win?

im with you last time it was a lucky head shot Torres is gonna throw some bombs on Holt. Just imagine one of those landing on Ricky? Game over

    :patsch

You talk as if Hatton has no chin whatsoever!

Neutralising a puncher as wild as Torres is meat and drink to Hatton.

yes i agree torres will take out holt as holt can't defend the over hand right lead then i see him fighting paulie. if he fought Hatton i think Hatton would be in big trouble and i could see a knockout win for Torres

i dont think Hatton has a glass jaw but

Torres is p4p one of the hardest punchers in boxing, i dont think Hatton can take one of his shots, let alone a few....and HE WILL get hit, because Hattons always there to be hit

    Not always.

Against guys that he knew could hurt him (Tszyu excepted) he got on the bike a little and gave angles.

If he could reproduce the first five rounds against Urango, in a fight with Torres for the duration I reckon he stops him late.

Mayweather is an exceptionally accurate puncher, with underrated power. You seem to be forgetting that Hatton was charging in there like a prat looking for a miracle KO, because Cortez had pissed him off and he was WAY behind on the cards.

Could you really see Torres outboxing Hatton to a degree where Ricky lunges in throwing bombs whilst wide open?

    Because I can't.

itll be the same Ricky...but he'll just throw jabs mroe often...

Torres only losses came from a headbutt and a vicious war with Cotto...

and if Cotto barely managed to squeak by...Hatton would get murdered within 3 or 4 rounds...

Torres is just a one-dimensional banger, nothing special.

    And Hatton isnt?

    GTFO here with that...

Hatton MAY be a slight bit better...but is JUST as one-dimensional as Torres...the only difference is that Torres has a much better recovery rate and chin than Hatton does...

    Based on what precisely?

Torres was KO'd by a headbutt / punch combo from Holt, and Cotto.
Hatton was KO'd by Mayweather fighting in a higher division.

I'm not saying you're not right, he possibly could have, but how is it possible to know and state it like a fact?

his style is very much like torres where he tries to smother you on the inside and throws looping hooks, jumps in and out...

but lacks a sense of finess in his technique...hes a bar-room brawler in reality...most of his victories come from early on assaults that left his opponent gun-shy and no answer...BUT later on when Ricky runs out of gas as he knows for doing, he finds himself in constant trouble...his chin isnt what it used to be...

Torres on the other hand is a one-dimensional fighter...but with an explosive 1st half workrate and punching power thats undisputed...

Torres loss from Cotto was not at all a demolishing loss...he had Cotto back pedaling and down a few times before finally falling apart himself...

And the Holt victory...that's a joke...not even gonna go there

Hatton has been in trouble with most of his fights post-Kosta

    i think Torres rapes Hatton...
