I think it's a good idea, even if he should beat Henderson and Bisping or whoever else Anderson is still there and like his manager said nobody really wants Anderson- Henderson 3 ....at least for a while

Wonder why they didn't mention Machida? Seems like the perfect fight to land Franklin in the 205 lbs division with authority. Franklin should redeem his losses to Silva by redeeming his loss to Machida.

    . . . er. Something like that.

It's probably a smart move on his part and for the UFC. Franklin's beaten almost everyone at 185, with the exception of Silva. And Franklin is too good to be Silva's gatekeeper. If Franklin got fresh fights (with guys like Bisping), he'd just knock out potential Silva opponents. There are plenty of interesting matchups at 205.

Yeah I see the UFC asking him to go to 205 agian. All he will do is just smash all the contenders to Silvas throne. Im not sure what Dan Hendersons doing infact I expect him to go back to the weight he likes 205 so I wont count him. Okamis probablly the number 1 contender and Rich cleanly defeated him. Last thing we need is these guys to have a trilogy even though Rich is the true number 1 contender but hes already been raped by Silva twice and recently at that. Just a real weird postion Rich is in.

Only thing I can think of is that once he moves up, I'm not sure if he will be able to get down again. He does alot of dieting and physical work to get down to a weight he can go to the sauna and dry out to 185, so as he gets older and puts on the extra muscle for 205, the cut to 185 would get alot harder than it is now, and its not easy now I imagine.

can't blame him. it's obvious taht he can't beat anderson

  10. I don't see where it says he's definitely moving to 205.

I thought that Bisping was at 185 now?

He is...hence the reason if Franklin got fresh fights at 185, he'd just destroy potential Silva contenders. And that's why it's better for the UFC and everyone involved if he moves up to 205. That leaves Bisping with a chance to get built up to fight Silva, rather than getting laid out by Franklin beforehand.

Probably because Machida would beat him again.
