Nothing out of the ordinary here to be honest. He sayd he wants Rios again no matter what weight it is at 'even at 160' Anyway, thought you's might like to see it [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXm0qopXwt4&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
Brandon Rios interview [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r368d7k6zAU&feature=related[/ame] Says he abolsutely killed himself making weight, and he wont try it again. 'I feel stupid for doing it'. Wants Marquez next.
Yeah the Marquez fight is the one that I want to see. I still think Marquez knocks him out, but he did have trouble with Diaz and Katsidis (Rios is better than both IMO). While Marquez beat Pacquiao at the higher weight, Pacquiao throws his shots from distance, whereas Rios throws short sharp shots. Its a very intreging fight, one that I think Marquez wins by KO
Juan is happiest & most effective against come-forward guys like Rios. Bam-bam will be taken apart & knocked out imo Feel gutted for Abril, he fought a great, disciplined fight & got robbed.
I agree with both parts. At least Abril didnt seem too down heartened by it tho. In the interview he was more like 'meh, i won. **** it. Get me that fool again'
Gotta respect the guys confidence, he went to the Rios-Gamboa presser & took the **** out of Rios & his team. Abril knew he had the style & the ability to beat Rios & he did it comfortably. I loved the way he was smiling & laughing at Rios after every round
:deal Rios actually thought he was a member of Gamboa's team It made me laugh when Abril said he'll go up to 160 to fight Rios again
If Rios doesn't give him the rematch at 140 then I hope he fights JMM and get the beating he rightfully deserves for ducking the rematch :yep
The Juan Diaz that Marquez fought in the first fight was definitely better than Rios. A far more talented pressure fighter in his prime in my opinion.
I thought it made him look a ****ing arsehole. Added to the endless holding and the punches on the break - I can't say I was arsed about him getting robbed.
The only guy I remember hitting on the break was Rios who initiated some of the clinches as well Rios didnt enjoy being schooled & laughed at & acted in like the horrible little **** he is. I thoroughly enjoyed that fight & Abril's excellent & masterful performance
This, Diaz was a far more effective pressure fighter, his footwork was far superior to Rios, just lacked a punch.
