I mean, it sucks he got robbed against Rios and probably deserves a big payday, but I honestly hate watching him fight. People complain about Carlos Molina, but to me Abril is one of the absolute worst spoilers to watch.

 

I hit a lot of threads and the only ones I remember seeing him in have something to do with Cuban boxers somehow. Like Donaire ducking Rigo? Yeah, not sure why I got the impression he is Cuban.

 

No, deserving a big payday means doing your share to drum up interest in a fight. Nobody wants to see him so he doesn't deserve the payday.

Not only do the networks not want him, legit contenders don't want him because of his spoiling style. Even if they beat him the film will look like crap and that won't help them get better (televised/money) fights. Abril has no one to blame but himself on this one. He doesn't understand the pro game at all it would seem.
