Yup, I've never seen Rees fight. But I will say Abril is a tough and awkward fight for anyone in the division. He's a crafty tall southpaw with good ring IQ.

Does Rees have great footwork to keep mobile and avoid getting smothered like Rios did? Does Rees have decent head movement, and does he have a good quick jab to keep Abril off balance and at bay? If not, I don't see him winning this combat unless the judges help him out some.

Heavily favour Abril, bad physical match up for Rees. It'll be interesting to see the official scorecards if it goes that far. Yes the British media and powers that be are apt to pile on thick layers of moral indignation over a press conference brawl, but are strangely silent over such incidents as Chop Chop giving Mccloskey a boxing lesson and yet mindbogglingly finding himself behind in the official scoring; et al. We all know what the true maladies in boxing are; but they not sexy, tv face-time inducing, type moral crusades.

I don't agree it was a boxing lesson, I did have Corley up though, and it was silent because boxing isn't mainstream enough to care about fighter like McCloskey, whereas most of the media here are chasing stories to get the public attention, so a press conference brawl gets coverage.

Well to me it was a clear boxing lesson.

When I refer to the media, I point specifically to the boxing media, they're supposed to be hardcore. I want them kicking and screaming about such BS, not "close fight, let's sweep it under the carpet and move on."

Ohh right, yeah there is certain instances when they should complain, in this case I guess the stoppage stopped any outcry.

Abril's got this 1 in the bag I reckon, the guy is far too clever for some1 like Rees who I consider quite reckless. He aint knocking him out but were talking 118/119 scorewise in favor of Abril.

I'll go with Abril to win a comfortable decision. Rees' activity and toughness will win him a few rounds but I think Abril is just too smart.

The judging in the UK isn't anywhere near as bad as the US or Germany. I don't think that'll be a significant factor.

Abril wins in the 7th round with a body shot.

    I'll go with Abril.

Abril basically stood in front of a very big 135lber in Rios and made him miss. Rees is definitely more intelligent and dynamic than Rios, but I still don't think he can do enough to break the very solid defense of Abril. Abril has to make Rees pay though, which I think he will do after his last bout.

I find it comparable with the US, but not as bad as Germany. But at least in Germany the boxers get 5 star treatment before being excreted on.

I think the general standard in the US is much poorer. I don't know whether that's down to bias, incompetence or corruption but I see far more awful decisions there.

You rarely go a month without seeing a bad decision and, unfortunately, scandalous decisions are becoming more frequent.

How many bad decisions do you see in the UK like Pac-Bradley, Cloud-Campillo, Williams-Lara, Campillo-Shumenov etc?

If Abril goes to England and out-classes Rios, I'd be confident he'd get the decision. In the US these days, I never know what I'm going to get. I'm pleasantly surprised if the right guy gets his hand raised.

Rees is not a bad fighter but I think his size disadvantage won't help him in an ugly fight with the taller, better boxer in Abril.

Will Abril get robbed in UK? Possibly.
