Richard Abril vs. Sharif Bogere

How come Abril is such a strong favorite?

 

Because he's such a nightmare for anyone at 135, and you couldn't help be impressed with his dominant win over Rios. He's rangy, tall, quick and has very good boxing skill. Whereas from the little ive seen of Bogere he's agressive, powerful but rough round the edges. Hes made for Abril's style imo.

 

Abril couldn't take out Lundy. HE isn't as good as his beating of Rios argues.

 

Damn. Bogere is quite the underdog. I might have to take him here. Abril is a tricky fighter but at the same time Bogere is a solid all around dude. 50-50 if you ask me.

 

The vodds are very generous for the over here.
I have a real feeling in my gut that Bogere can do this and Abril's schooling of Rios has a few people blinkered.

 

But another controversial draw isn't out of the question here.Abril will be due a turn in many people's subconciousness.

 

Yes that's what I'm afraid of too, Bogare is probably a bit long in the odds, wouldn't be surprised of any result should be close

 

This will be a real clinch fest.

That's the only way Abril will hold off Bogere.

I think part of the reason Abril was a stylistic nightmare for Rios was his defense. Thats why many could outbox Rios, but not maintain the lead. As for the Lundy-Prescott losses, I think your as good as your last fight. I think Abril can beat them both in a rematch. He's got more pop in his counters then before Rios. Question for me is how consistent can he be? We'll find out tonight.
