Richard Schaefer on Canelo-GGG: it has to be a split

Just stating what most knowledgeable Boxing Fan's believe.....

 

isnt this the same guy that was "stealing fighters from oscar" and "trying to ruin boxing/golden boy" ....and "a slimzy sleazeball" according to the anti floyd/haymon crowd?

 

schaefer said what ive been saying...golovkin should have ppv upside..if it reaches a certain number he gets a kicker..otherwise the 10 mil is legit and has ppv money built into it

This fight needs to happen will be a big fight and risky for both guys

 

60/40 Canelo's Favor and the fight will happen...but both sides really have to want the fight to happen.!!!!

 

of course it would happen if golden boy offered 40 percent...because that would be a godsend to golovkin and k2...they aint gettin no 40 percent

 

Then the fight probably won't happen....Canelo can continue to fight Golovkin rejects and Golovkin can continue to collect Belt's....

 

If GGG got upside then his guarantee would be a lot lower around the 3-4 mill range. After ppv he will probably get around 15 mill so 10 mill guarantee isn't that far off. I think GGG should have taken the 10 mill because now Canelo is going to fight someone in May and probably bjs in September.

canelo is 26 and just put 50k in a stadium and got 300k buys on a ppv against liam friggn smith......meanwhile mr "beltholder" cant even get danny jacobs in the ring! why does his guarantee have to be lower if he gets an upside stake? 10 mil has ppv projection money built in....he could get the 10 mil guarantee with an upside kicker.....that would be fair to me.....i think a 5 mil base purse with 5 mil in ppv money + ppv upside stake is a fair deal for him

ggg fans wrote the book on knocking guys for money decisions and then excusing ggg for ducking ward because "not enough money in it".....and big upping him for scoffing at a very reasonable offer....if ggg said yes and the fight was tentatively scheduled all of the bumdog minions would be happy and big upping him....its only because he hasnt accepted that you think the offer isnt good enough.....and its pretty clear loeffler doesnt know what hes doing...if it hasnt been by now
