Richard Schaefer on Canelo-GGG: it has to be a split

And your absolute obsession and hate for Golovkin.....get a Grip Man losing sleep about the Fighter will eventually catch up with you....while you keep bagging Him and he keeps winning you are making an even bigger fool of Yourself.....what are you going to do if the fight does happen in 2017 and Golovkin defeats Canelo it will be the end of your life as you no it.!!!!..

 

There is too much BS in the business of boxing. Canelo is the bigger star and brings the larger share of fans to the table. However GGG is no slouch and he is putting his health and stellar resume on the line just like Canelo. I think that Oscar is the one who's holding up things with his prima donna attitude. He needs to understand that he can't operate on the same level as Mayweather because his fighter is quite simply not on that level. The split should be 60/40 on the purse and PPV monies.Canelo should shoot for the vending and merchandise monies. That would be a nice stack of cash and I don't think GGG would mind.

 

Most of Golovkin's Peers say the same thing....60/40 make the fight.!!!!

I can only assume that you're talking to Shockmaster. I can't say for certain as he's on my ignore list as should he be everyone else's. He's proven he can't discuss boxing like a rational adult so should be ignored.

when pressed the only reasons anyone can give for golovkin receiving 40 percent against canelo we get "well he has the belts" or "well i think he deserves it"....of course...thats being a rational adult in your book right?!?!....i dont think this fists of steel guy has given me one legit reason other than "my opinion he deserves 40 percent"

canelo has headlined several ppvs...has a few hall of famers on his resume....is a proven ticket seller...just did 50k gate and 300k ppvs against a nobody.....has done a ppv with floyd.....etc. etc.

golovkin has done one ppv that has flopped....has 0 hall of famers on his resume...doesnt have a single guy on his resume whos ever done a ppv other than lemieux being the heavy bag for golovkins ppv flop.....

and you want to rationally argue he deserves 40 percent like an adult would?

It's a 10 mill guarantee with an upside of PPV.. it's a good deal, especially for what his resume is, take it and be happy...

 

I have a feeling they would take it i think its more them trying to negotiate a better deal but in the end they will go for it
