Richard Schaefer says he is willing to sit-down with Top Rank and have a Firm look at

Richard Schaefer says they should have one of the three big accounting firms account for the fights back to say, 2007, and account EVERYTHING and see what each side does. And if they are the same, then yes, it should be a 50/50 split. But if they don't, why should it ?

Seems like the best thing. They have the books. We don't. Let the bosses handle this.

Fans: 50/50 is fair = because we just want to see the fight

Fighters = I want my fair share (which is disputable and will come down to the numbers)

Pac/Arum says he is willing to do 45% each with the winner taking home the extra 10%

I personally think 45% to each, then winner taking the rest sounds fair to me.

Yes, again. It sounds fair to you, the FAN. And to me, the FAN.

But to them, to the fighter's where that money is real....its a bit more complex.

For example: say Floyd is the one that generates the higher numbers. Why would he risk losing that percentage?
What do you do if it ends up being a controversial decision ?

Eh. I could only imagine what these guys go through when they get divorced or does the ***** just always win ?

They should do this after the PAC-Bradley fight. Arum/Team PAC can't focus to this at this time.

It isn't like each guy has a separate fan base for PPV purposes. There is a lot of overlap. There will be people that don't normally buy PPV that will be buying this. Why should one fighter be getting a bigger percentage of the new viewers? This is big enough that 50/50 shouldn't be an issue since neither guy makes the same money this fight will bring in anywhere else. This is all BS.

    Source?

This seems like a fair solution. Let the bosses sit down and work the numbers with a trusted third party.

Good idea, let a third (neutral) party do the accounting...however, at the end of the day it is still Floyd with his hardline No Arum, No 50/50 stance that needs to budge.

Problem is, this fight is not going to be the same as your 'normal' big fight. This will be a little like apples to oranges. He knows that.

I just hope GBP can convince Floyd to accept how the business works in terms of negotiations Just in case Arum and Oscar got an agreement.

I would think both sides would be smart enough to have the fighters sign-off on them going to the sit-down with the outcome being "Final" and not used as a "possibility."

basically, the Firm will serve as judge and agreement.
