Why would Arum open his books to a random guy like Schaefer to get a fight made? Who is he, and why was he calling Arum.

Yeah, neither side is going to open the books. Like I said, Schaefer is just making PR.

I think Richard Schaefer is working with/for Floyd. Floyd gave preached his name in a positive light in an interview as well.

    So "Random guy" ?

Richard Schaefer isn't some ESB poster; he is CEO of Golden Boy. And if Floyd is backing him on this (and we'll have to wait and see), then what's the problem given Richard Schaefer would be doing the same with opening their books ?

I think Richard would. That's his line of business.

Arum is more old school. Like Don King.

While I'm sure Schaefer would love to see TR's books, it ain't gonna happen and Schaefer would never open his books to TR. This isn't the way competitors work. In fact even if they did they would likely have the Justice Department bringing charges of price fixing if they did. You can't have the two top companies in the field sit down and do this.

    Writing over the internet.
I don't know you so you could be serious. Others have been. It's scary.

So given the two...I resort to just filling in the blanks. So cut me a break. I have some Italian blood. I need facial and hand expressions along with those words when I don't know who you are. :D

This will actually benefit Pacquaio as he's had more ppv fights within the last 5yrs resulting in a higher # of total purchases than Floyd. Its also been reported that Pac consistantly does a higher gate than Floyd at the MGM.

Something tells me that Floyd is not happy with Schaeffer right now. By opening the books and doing a comparison, Floyd loses his argument on why Pac should only get a flat fee with no ppv upside.

How do you know Golden Boy wouldn't ?

    You don't.

TR would be opening their books on Pac and GB would be opening their books on Floyd. What's the problem ?

O'...never mind. Arum wouldn't want to open his books because then Pac finds out whats up....is that what you are getting at ?

And given Arum's past with business dealings....yeah...maybe he wouldn't.

In the end, I don't see what the problem is.

It's not like this doesn't go on in business. That's why R.S. is willing to do it.

In the end, its about making a deal.

Now will Arum go along ? I don't know.

Haha sorry, I actually appreciate your consistency of intelligent conversation done in all seriousness on just about every post. I spent a good month demonstrating what side of the fence I'm on and just plain got tired of the topic and started talking about other fighters again.
