actually..... He never said anything himself about being afraid of needles.

I've yet to see any sort of credible quote from him in regards to that.

Ortiz has no leverage in these negotiations. It's basically, "If you want to get paid this is what you have to do." I expect Floyd to have all opponents who are lower on the totem pole than him accept all his demands.

I deal with contracts for a living. A first time homebuyer will jump through every hoop the bank puts in front of them to buy a house. Somebody with a large investment portfolio will walk out and find another source of money. It's all about the positions of the two sides at the table.

Isn't this what all fighters do? Being that Mayweather is by far the #1 per fight earner, every negotiation he is in this position.

All people deal with contracts for a living, but your analogy is a bit flawed, but let's roll with it... There is no other lender with the "liquidity" (Mayweather's drawing power) that can do the jumbo loan you wish to complete and the client (Pac) is balking over something as simple as proving assets (taking the drug test) that he claims he has (clean?) in the bank.

In that case you just move on because the person is an obvious fraud. :deal

Haha very true! Let me just add that Cotto won't give a **** if given an opportunity to fight Manny again about the "test". Cotto, as we all know and he knows too, is on his way out so a nice retirement check before he hangs up the gloves won't hurt him. And yes....LMAOL....Arum will more than likely tell him to go **** himself incase he did and he will just obey haha

Good for them! Let's go back to Floyd and Shane in May 2010. Shane gasses early, I mean huffing and puffing by Round 3 and seemingly suffering from some form of epilepsy. Floyd had incredible footwork against Marquez just 7 months before fighting Shane. That sure disappeared fast as well as some reflexes as shown in Round 2.

Can't wait to see more of the same from Floyd. This time, you won't see the same hyper Ortiz like you saw against Berto.

Having less red blood cells rob you of athletic performance and stamina.

Or vice versa. It could go either way.

If you think that ONLY Mayweather is the one that brings the money to the table, you are wrong or blindly in love with FMJ! Why do you think everyone and their mothers want to fight Manny and Floyd and do the ridiculous demands both offer i.e. catweights and OSDT testing? Its more because of the money than it is about beating the "best". In the past it was usually one who was boxing's main attraction ala ODLH, Tyson and JCC. Now we have two guys who everyone around them (160lbs, 154lbs, 147lbs, 140lbs, 135lbs) would like to get a piece of their cake $$$$$$.

If this is true then Floyd and his team should be getting props. Hope it sets a precedent and the rest of the sport follows. Any ******* who has a problem with this is an idiot.

No, it couldn't. Bank FMJ has funded one and soon to be two jumbo loans (fights) using the criteria, verified income verified assets (FROSDT). Borrowers who had nothing to hide just VIVA (tested). You are presenting Pac, who won't verify assets or income (FROSDT) as reasonable. He isn't and red flags are being raised.

To the rest of your post? Nobody ever mentioned a catchweight so why did you? FROSDT was compromised on before and Pac balked. Now the demand, to pass a test by a clean fighter, is set in stone. It shouldn't be an issue if Pac is clean.

It has always been about the money. Before, due to the depth of the sport, beating the best and the money were both possible. Now it isn't, but still there is a #1 in the sport. There is no reason on this Earth why a drug test should stop them from fighting... Unless...

That was just a good fake. I have actually used it sine the fight. People bite on it a lot.

Still, you have a point. More big fights with FROSDT is right up my alley. Equal is fine for me.

A few days back fresh off of Andre Berto insinuating Ortiz was a PED user......I posted a thread and a link to Victor Ortiz' team answering back those allegations with a "we'll take any PED test anywhere, anytime, during training or out of training."
My thread was titled, "This is how you handle a PED accusation."

My thread was up for a full day going on 4 pages, and apparently the mods deleted it.

Does anyone here know if there is a ******* in the bunch of mods?

I couldn't agree more. This is how you handle accusations when you know youve done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide. Props to both boxers here.
