Only if there is a card to back it up with. No way will degale on his own in a european title fight be PPV. Not a chance!!

Of course a PPV slot would open right up, because ****** actually has enough fighters to put on a full bill, rather than one fight, and it would more than likely be in UK. I expect Khans fights will be at the crack of dawn for the forseeable future, and Khan isn't in the same league popularity wise as a hatton or a calzaghe. Simply put, while hes fighting in America or against substandard opponents with 0 undercard he doesn't DESERVE to be on PPV.

    As above.

If Khan signed with FW he would immediately be back on SKY PPV. The reason is that FW has a large stable of fighter with which to build an event around. This is a very important factor, because these days unless it is a big fight, you need other fights on your bill.

Some people whine and whine about how "that fight wasn't PPV", "that shouldn't have been on PPV" and so on, not realising those in power don't determine what should be on PPV based on how good a fight it is, etc, it's all down to how many buys its gets.

Sky should stay firm, fringe defences with no undercard are not worth an EXTRA 15 quid!

Admittedly Judah is a good fight and I would pay for it if the undercard was good..

Khan needs to understand you dont bite the hand that feeds you. Yeah fair enough to him, it might have been abit of a pisstake them asking him to go back to SS3 for the Mcloskey fight. But he should've remembered that with Haye (possibly?) retiring this year, Froch being 34, no Hatton anymore, he would be THE ppv fighter for Sky to milk the most out of in the future.

I have no doubt that his actions in the negotiations for the last fight have harmed him slightly. Why else would sky have shown the Bradley-Alexander fight if it wasnt with having one eye on a future Khan fight. Then even with that falling through, if they wanted to, Sky could have hyped the **** out of the Khan-Judah fight despite it being so close to Hayes last fight.

My issue is with the quality of the cards, SKY have one rule for FW and another for everyone else e.g. the Degale-Groves promotion which became just as much of a farce with the last minute changes but did SKY pull it as did the McCloskey Khan promotion, did they f*ck:deal It implies that SKY are not bothered about the quality of boxing they put on PPV but due to their cosy relationship with FW are willing to put on anything. You watch, the Degale european title challenge & a Cleverly WBO 1st title defense (probably against some Armenian cabbie) and Fwanks Olympians will be more than enough for SKY to place it on PPV. I suspect that Fwank has had some under-the-table arrangement with Barney Francis for sometime now to a) get his shows on PPV & b) retain exclusivity at the cost of other promoters

As for Khan facing substandard opponents, ahem, Khan has faced top-ten world ranked opponents consistently now for the past two years (you can argue over the quality of McCloskey & Salita but they were ranked). He's testing himself at a far higher level than either Hatton or Calzaghe did at the same age. The big fights, the big tests are all in the U.S., with the obvious exception of the heavyweights.

Really, SKY seemed quite vocal following the Fraudley-Haye farce and then burnt again last weekend....

Now don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that none of khans fights should be PPV, but by the same right not all of them should be either. The fight against salita only made it PPV due to the FW fighters on the undercard (and FW's mere presence), the fight against McCloskey was being moved due to the substandard undercard Khan promotions attempted to throw together. Look at it this way, if that fight had Mitchell-Murray or Bellew-Mckenzie on its undercard it immediately looks better (and in my opinion PPV worthy), and not just because the standard of fighter is much higher, but because these are names sky have built up (and can sell to the general public).

I'm not sure what you are saying here.

Audley-Haye was a massive financial success. Klit Haye was an even greater financial success.

You are not getting it. Read. FW has a proven track record with SKY of delivering buys to an acceptable level. He comes to them with a proposition for a PPV event, they TRUST that he will deliver the buys because he has done so in the past.

Khan Promotions, no track record, no experience of putting on a show, no stable of fighters... so when the undercard collapsed, SKY couldn't say "well this has happened before and they sorted it out".. because there is no track record like there is with FW. They were not prepared to take the risk, so it was axed.

It is not a case of one rule for FW and one for everyone else. You can either accept that, or you can continue being deluded thinking it's true.

Come on, now you're being disingenuous,.... So as far as SKY are concerned, with Fwank it's only a numbers game but with the Khan/Hatton promotion it was one of quality?

And you should learn to maintain a coherent argument. I suspect I've covered this ground with you before & the conclusion then and now is that SKY thinks that your average British punter doesn't **** about boxing & will pay whatever for whoever FW sticks on one his crappy cards :deal

  13. imo Fwank doesnt have any ppv fighters in his stable right now, the only card that is worth ppv is if he put all his talents in with world class opposition/career defining fights rather then the polish taxi drivers he is currently feeding them, only then would i consider the card ppv worthy, whats the point of having gavin, degale on these undercards if they are going to be in one sided fights?

I hate the american promoters and hbo. They are so obbsesed with money its ridiculous. They dont care about anything else.

I think they have got to khan a bit. Im not saying he wasnt already greedy but its like he has been shown how much money he can make and he is just looking at that and running straight for it.

The channel switching farce was such a joke, he basically showed his true colours that he doesnt care for the british fans and is totally motivated by money. Him fighting in america to make more money proves this.

He only wants the Mayweather fight for a paycheck. If you think he just wants a shot at the best, personally i think your wrong. Its not just him though, most fighters do it nowadays. As soon as they have a world title they seem to think they deserve the kind of ppv numbers and paychecks and media coverage as people like Pacquiao and Mayweather. I just want to grab hold of them and yell ''Shut Up''.

I am a massive khan fan. But his actions of late have made me lose respect for him. I love the british fighters who just genuinly want to fight the best and like to stay at home. You dont have to go to america to make it.

Sorry fo this rant but ive had a crap day and needed to vent it somewhere. Dont listen to me, it probably bollocks anyway!!

  15. ^^^LOL at this

If he wanted to make money all he had to do os stay with ****** and fill out arenas in england fighting stiffs ala calzaghe and Hatton and ride out his drawing power here, but instede he chose to go to the lions den and take on the top guys in the division at 23 years old
