Richard Torrez is a very good H/W talent. Joshua Edwards has just been seeded first for the Olympics tournament which is what happens when you hand over administration of amateur boxing to the Americans. He hasn't had a fight all year & doesn't deserve a rails run to the medals which is what he is going to receive. Jared Anderson faces a live opponent next up. He wins that & he deserves a top 10 rating.
Torrez is going the Berlanga route. They are feeding him nothing but guys that will give him a highlight KO. He is just swing for the fences in every fight. This wont help him in the long run. I think he struggles big time when he starts fighting other prospects.
There are some similarities in their promoters matching them against inferior opposition, but Torres is much better than Bumlanga overall. Better fundamentals as he was much, much better amateur
Anderson I won't say is "crap". I will say I'm very disappointed in him and is career and what he's been saying about what he wants to accomplishment, makes me believe he's gonna get erased eventually. Torrez is not good IMO. I've yet to see a fight that's impressed me yet. Joshua Edwards, until I see him in the moneymaking ranks the jury is out. He has the frame I would like to see as a HW but again.................too early. I don't think you can tell how American amateurs would do as pros as well as you can Euro amateurs
