http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=72844&cat=boxer He has been out ages and therefore I can accept he wants to shake off the rust. I cannot imagine this lasting long
He has gone the distance with Corrie Sanders and Kevin Johnson but then again he has also been knocked out by a cruiserweight Troy Ross. Not a bad fight for Towers when you look at his previous oppenents but he shoudlnt really pose much of a problem. At 31 he needs to move quick and hopefully after Bispo he will fight someone with a pulse on the domestic circuit.
Surely it must cost a packet to draft in a loser like this. You could get a British or Euro loser for cheaper. Towers has been out a while but his opponent was starched in 72 seconds by a cruiser Poor match on paper, IMO.
You would think with Sky having him down as one of the 11 for 2011 they would push him a little bit. Danny Hughes would have been worth a shout.
But Danny Hughes would have half a chance of beating him and they do not want another heavyweight prospect getting embarrassed so soon.
basile was a decentish fighter. not a easy look for anybody. the narcismento just caught him with a left hook which is basiles major problem. bispo is a tougher opponentt than fury's former. southpaw, short and a fromer cruiser, he doesnt have the power or agilty to reallly beat guys. but he has alot of moves and vetrancy to him....he will make the distance if towers cant get to him. thats what your looking for.
i honestly dont think towers (or hayles as he used to be called) will amount to much. i could of course be wrong...i normally am
