Richardson feels Golovkin doesn’t have the experience that Canelo has.

He took GGGs punches and GGG has put away some hard dudes so I wouldn't call it glass.

DJ beats everyone at 160 including Lemiuex, Saunders, Eubank Jr. I reckon in a GGG rematch DJ will be a much narrower underdog.

Yes, kudos to you and others who gave Jacobs a good chance (some example posts below).

The thing is that we don't really know how good Jacobs is against the elite. He was on a long and impressive KO streak including one top MW in Quillin, but his best opponent before GGG was Pirog, who KO'ed him. Admittedly Jacobs was young and fought in difficult circumstances.

So either Jacobs was generally underrated, GGG was generally overrated, or it's a mixture of both. We'll fight out a bit more come September, and hopefully Jacobs gets back in the ring soon as well.

GTFO! If he would beat everyone at MW he would.

We don't know if he beats everyone. A career JrMW in Mora almost KHTFO.

I think you may be underestimating Jacobs a bit, I thought he fought at a very high level against Golovkin and may well beat the Canelo/GGG winner due to his stylistic advantages. But who knows? I could be very wrong.

I'd say DJ was underrated. GGG gets a pass for his first tough fight in 34 fights.

Mora dropped DJ harder than GGG did. That doesn't mean that Mora hits harder than GG. DJ got reckless going for the KO and got ragged coming in flush.

LOL.. Now Jacobs is this top elite talent because he gave Golovkin who is used too fighting bums a very close and competitive fight.

I won't comment on the GGG-Jacobs fight as I haven't had time to watch it yet, speaking specifically on Jacobs outside of one win vs Quillin what has he done to be rated at all? The MW division is full of unproven guys who have one or no quality wins, I don't see how you could rate any P4P or accurately based on that. What we do know is Danny has been stopped before, dropped multiple times has shown a shakey chin, and outside of beating Quillin a guy who really has never beaten anyone either he has no stand out wins that make you say he's the goods.
The person I initially responded to mentioned Jacobs and brook being better than any win Canelo has had, me personally I dont see how you can say that when neither have done anything to show there quality fighters.

Like take Brook he has a win over Porter and what else, Khan beating Alexander, Algeri, & Collazo is better than Brook beating Porter and a bunch of journeyman noones every heard of or seen again.

I agree that it's hard to rate Jacobs accurately in a p4p sense. I wasn't agreeing with the guy who said that Jacobs would be Canelo's best win either; Brook is completely laughable.

I just have a feeling that Jacobs is the goods. It's far from proven of course, and I can certainly understand how people might see it differently, but I saw a lot of things I liked. The movement, the fast combos, and he didn't seem to be badly hurt at any point. I also like how he steps up on the big occasions, trains hard, and gives of his best (Quillin and GGG). Same with Brook and Spence at WW for me. Neither of them are that proven, but I suspect they are both top 3-4 WWs.

I have no problem with anyone disagreeing with the above, it's just my honest opinion and I'm more than willing to admit that I could be wrong.

Jacobs is a bit of an unknown quantity.

But if you have Canelo-GGG anywhere near 50/50, I guess Jacobs ought to be among the MW elite at the moment?

You know better Pimp. If Canelo can legitimately beat GGG in a fair fight with no biased officiating I'll be the first to congratulate him & call him champ
I said exactly the same thing before May/Pac but sadly, as we all know, Floyd didnt have the cojones to fight fair The Cheating Coward

Fair enough. I also have seen many hyped fighters crash badly.
