i like nazim and i have the up most respect for him and he is correct on both ends. but imho the key words about floyd is that "he chooses" to pitty pat and light combo his way to victory sometimes not b/c he is forced too. there is a big difference....the boy can flat out box and he can adapt very well to any style of fighting and thats what makes him so dangerous but it's also what makes him hated the 2nd most (1st being outside of the ring lol) they know he can fight his ass off but most of the time would not take the risk to showcase his natural born talent. which by the way i don't mind... i enjoy watching him fight!

Floyd is not known for using his jab....

Cotto is a lefty fighting orthadox, so his jab has alot of power and is accurate..

I think floyds jab is better, but I can see an argument for cotto being made...

Your never going to learn anything if you just dismiss other peoples opinions as wrong instead of figuring out why they think differently than you

Cotto isn't from michigan, so his jab is clearly worse.

    Floyd fans are rabid idiots.
Their boxing knowledge is capped at everything floyd does is the best version of it.

    Lead left hooks? Floyd.
    Straight right hands? Floyd.
    Defense? Floyd.
    Jab? Floyd.
    Uppercut? Floyd.

Sorry, I think Cotto is a mile ahead of floyd in the jab department.

I think floyds jab to the body is extremly underrated... Its a big part of his game, and sets up his right hand really well. Hes also got decent power in it....

Power means nothing at this weight class. Its about controlling your opponent, Floyd has controlled more fighters with his jab then Cotto ever has.

Hell Cotto couldnt even outjab Pacquiao. Pacquiao was timing his ****.

    9:25. Thats a jab.

Then watch how Floyd controlled Oscar to the body with his jab in the championship rounds.

    Mayweather vs Jerry Cooper. 1997

But its not about power dope. Its about controlling your opponent. If it was about power then every fighter would just fight southpaw and claim a powerful jab.

Cotto doesnt have near the timing, accuracy and effectiveness as a Mayweather jab. Floyd has won fights with nothing but a jab.

Catching Clottey off balance. Clottey then proceeds to get up and chase Cotto almost out of the ring.

Floyd would have controlled Clottey only like a true elite boxer could.

I agree, his jab is very good.
    Especially to the body.

It's just not delivered with the force and power of Cotto's, which is why I like it more.

It snaps the head back and pushes the guy into the ropes.
Sometimes it even knocks them on their asses.

not every fighter fights the same way, not every fighters uses the jab the control the opponent, there is no "right" and "wrong" way to box
