Who is the richest fighter of all time (taking into account money from boxing only)? People like Tyson dont count because although he earned more than most he didnt keep it, therefore he isnt on the list.

If it is just money from boxing and money they ave kept it is hard to judge, but naz is worth over 50 million dollars, lewis is worth a reported £30 million pounds (60 million dollars), does odlh count as he makes more money from promoting the fight than from boxing.

de la Hoya I suspect edges out Holyfield now a days.

It would be intresting to see in todays money what someone like Tunney or Dempsey were worth.

George Foreman maybe? EVERYONE knows of he is, and half the people in America probably own a foreman grill..
ODLH of course... and Larry Holmes, but Larry Holmes never spent any money is what i've heard, so hes pretty loaded... Tight *******..

Foreman made the majority of his fortune outside of boxing though, im doing research into the money making side of the business and im curious to find out who has made what from the sport.

I suspect now he is not short of a bob or two. But he admitted himself he was seriously broke in 87, hence the comeback. So although up there now, I doubt he is the richest.

Adjusted for inflation I guess that John Gulley was probably the richest fighter of all time.
