Nah, nowhere near. Rose would've won on points anyway, if he hadn't stopped him from a few more punches. It wasn't the worse stoppage ever, just a ******* if you were hoping for a points win or cheering on Alcine.
Haven't seen the fight, I don't have any real interest in Rose career sadly and never have but wish him the best. Did Alcine perform well or was Rose just shown for his level which is European level max?.
The stoppage was premature, but if he had left it a few more seconds Rose was going to finish him anyway, in fairness. Davies is probably the best ref in Britain imo.
I was there. Neither looked all that special. Alcine looked a lot more fluid to me and was putting his punches together nicely Rose was quite rigid and square on. He had some success when getting Alcine against the ropes but didnt have the footwork to maneuver him there often enough. Rose did have a late rally and hurt Alcine late in the 11th. I wasnt scoring it but my general feeling from the rounds was that Alcine had the better of it. Competitive fight but nothing really all that special about Rose. Could win a Euro belt maybe but by no means does he beat Rabchenko easily.
There is; a ref letting a fighter taking a couple decent shots too many. After a recent event, it is far better at the moment for a referee to be considered to cautious.
Your point would have more merit if the refs were doing the same for both the home and away fighter. It ****ing stinks.
Never bet on a fight where there is a British ref. We have the worst refs in the world. Rarely see a bout without some sort of embarassing officiating.
If a referee is proven corrupt that is a different matter. But to have a dig at a referee for allegedly stopping a fight too soon, is missing the point of what the referee is primarily there to do.
what you laughing at dafty? I know that Brian was 7 rounds plus up on the cards so were's your argument.
