This content is protected Watch from 49:39 i found this to be very honest and classy of Richie Woodhall, i can't remember this ever happening before. Can anyone else think of another instance when this is happened ? i know SRL admitted he lost to Hearns in their 2nd fight, but that was years later not right after the fight.
It's just not a smart move going forward. Judges are going to feel like mugs if they give you close rounds in future because you could just come out and say you lost the fight.
it is a good call and a great sign of integrity it also shames & exposes corruption, invested interests, fan favourite, home town decisions and a whole host of Boxing Bullcrap - a lot of Boxing could be cleaned up.
Eubank Sr in the post fight interview said he wouldn’t of had any complaints had the judges scored a draw or even win for Dan Schommer.
Typical of one of the classiest men in boxing. I've posted a link several times to The Gloves are Off: Supermiddleweight Special with RJJ, Eubank, Joe Clazaghe, Steve Collins and Richie. His humility and class shone through in that as well. My favourite British boxer ever, along with Johnny Owen.
