I get annoyed with this guy. Not just because of his allegiance, but fans don't realize he's in the business of purposefully misleading people, to drive traffic to his "pay per click" page.

It takes a while for these guys to demonstratably trip up, but I hope this shows you how they operate.

This is the full Mayweather ESPN interview:

"The thing is this I’m an American citizen and I represent this country with the red, white, and blue. I’m in my own country and I have a lot of people against me. Our country is a great country, and all I've asked him to do is take the test, that’s it. The minute he takes the test and we got a fight."

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion (on drug testing demands). Everybody is entitled to their own opinion though, which I respect. But. when it’s all said and done and my career is over, the fans don’t put my kids through college.Floyd Mayweather goes out and makes money for Floyd Mayweather."

You guys must realize this about Pacquiao, that’s just a media creation. That’s somebody who just came around. For someone to beat me would be abnormal, for someone to be him is normal because he has already been beaten three times and knocked out twice. It’s nothing new.”

You know, first of all, I'm not arguing it's a great interview. But can you see the huge chunks Rockwell cut out, to try and make it "Pacquiao friendly"

    Floyd is asked about Pacquiao.

He says the only thing holding it up is drug testing, and it's on as soon as Pacquiao agrees to it.

He states clearly, that he respects people saying this is not his job to demand drug testing, but states that he only thinks about himself on this.

Why's Rockwell, censoring out the interesting stuff, and only reporting a few lines?

    It's plain cowardly.

What type of man, censors interviews, to protect readers?

What he's basically saying is, he doesn't think Pacquiao fans can take it

The entire point of having an interview with an athlete, is so that people read it.

Not so guys cut out the bits they like, to mislead people

What's more annoying, Hatton constantly saying " a likkle bit", or Mayweather saying " you must realize this"?

Rockwell is basically the opposite of the Fight Hype site, in my opinion.

Both sources will try to accurately report something that was said or done by Mayweather, but they will spin it differently.

If you like Mayweather, visit Fight Hype.

If you're not a Mayweather fan, read Rockwell.

    I agree totally.

I wish more fans could speak like this.

I'm not saying sites aren't biased to Mayweather.

That's all it is, you know? :good

Most people don't understand how this stuff works. I mean, they can tell people/sites are biased, but they might not just lay it out as I did or understand what goes on behind all this. I'm not trying to put anyone down by saying that, I know for myself it took a long time before I figured out how things worked in that sense.

I worked in media. I know how this stuff goes. Rockwell wants hits, Fight Hype wants hits. They're just playing to different audiences. And, they're both probably happy to root for "their guy" and against the "other guy." That's my opinion.
