Some of you guys kill me. Most of the people that are on Fedor's jock right now would have been lining up to suck Rickson's dick 15 years ago. It's also convenient for you to scoff now that Rickson is 50, and the sport has watered itself down.

Don't get me wrong, in some way the sport has made advances. The sport has also added time limits, stand-ups, and rounds among other rules. It may have been done for entertainment and safety purposes, but it has created a sport mentality and made the style of fighting into more of a game. Royce would most likely have lost to Dan Severn at UFC IV had stand-ups, round changes, and judging had been involved. That was not the case, because the sport had yet to lose some of its purity.

You will no longer find Rickson Gracie in my MMA top anything, because I don't rank him. He proved himself in a different sport. Royce Gracie doesn't make my list either, because most of his proof was not in today's mma world. Renzo is the only Gracie around my top 10 at the moment.

Laugh at Rickson's 400-0 record all you want. It includes tournaments, fights, street fights, and just about anything Rickson doesn't consider a training session. It also leaves out a loss that happened in a fight due to takedown rule that Rickson said he did not know was in effect. If this is how we're keeping records, put me down for 2-0. I won a couple of Tough Man fights. Still, Ricskon is a pioneer for the sport that has many of you typing away here in this forum. Rickson is also by most accounts, as deserving of his accolades as anyone.

So until you guys can make a time machine to pull a younger Rickson Gracie to the present, and let him fight current fighters under the rules of his time; Rickson sub Lesnar in less time than Rickson subs Fedor.

    whos laughing?

we are a sensitive little pin cushion today are we not?

rickson is a hero of mine like rob kaman, dan gable etc but to suggest he could submit both these guys in such a nonchalant way is disrespecting his own legacy,he has seen the progression of the sport and his family have experienced it at first hand i.e my previous post ,you need more than jiujitsu nowadays and he knows that for a fact,no one is disrespecting rickson nor his achievements but to me its like comparing apples and pears (a mma fighter and a jiujitsu practitioner) they are 2 different things now albeit with a common heritage.

Just like Royce sub Matt Hughes. GTFO here, it's a joke if Rickson has a chance to survive one minute with either fighter. Everything you said just makes no sense. The man is delusional if he thinks he can survive more than 2 minutes with either fighter leave alone beat them with a submission with all things considered.

It's just blowing smoke. I can say the same thing and never actually step up to prove ****. So until you can make a time machine to pull a older Ufoalf to the present, and let him fight current fighters under the rules of his time; Ufoalf sub Lesnar in less time than Ufoalf subs Fedor.

So a multiple time Sambo tournament champ didn't know the most basic rule? His own father laughed at his 400-0 record.

People are amazed by fedor because he is the best, just as Rickson probably was; why is that such a laughable concept?

Rickson didn't say "in my prime" he said now. If he said "in his prime" he might, and I stress might, be right. Today, he would get seriously injured.

I'm just letting you guys know as the one that's been schooling you on these weekly predictions - Rickson is still a bad man. If he says he sees holes in Fedor's and Brock's games - then that's the way it is. :good

On one hand I'm joking because I love to see your reactions to these types of comments - but on the other hand I still believe Rickson can beat anyone in the world in NHB.

You believe Rickson can beat anybody in NHB? Based on what exactly? Wandy, Igor, Pele, Kerr, Ruas, Santana, hell Chuck Liddell, and many others have infinitely better NHB records. Rickson's biggest NHB win is Zulu or Duarte on a beach with goons around, and had to edit that video. Renzo has a better NHB, Royce as well.

Rickson would do much better in pure BJJ than NHB, in Vale Tudo he gets hurt badly.

Rickson's never been defeated nor hurt in any of his fights so what do you base that assessment on? Welcome back to the merry go round Beebs.

I too was poking a bit of fun at the 400-0 record. Go back and read my post. That's why I made the "Tough Man" remark. Rickson has gone on record with his argument about the Sambo loss.

For you guys that keep saying things have changed and Rickson could not compete against these much larger fighters, I say you might be right. Under today's rules, he would not be permitted to do what is most beneficial for a chance at victory.

Now, put today's fighters in real vale tudo rules and they would be in trouble. If fighters from today fought with no rounds, no time limit, and no stand-ups; things would be much different. Take away the chances to escape a dominant position with the sound of a bell. Be aware that all the boos from all the fans in the world will not be prompting anyone let you up. Take away the comfort of playing it safe for a decision. Let the knowledge of knowing you may be in this thing for hours weigh on your brain.

Missed the poking fun, but fair play.

His argument though is absolutely a joke. Ippon ends the match in any Sambo tournament in the world, of which Rickson has been champion of several, been in several rule meetings, and KNEW THE DAMN RULES. They werent special, they weren't one off, its a fundamental rule, its as important of a rule as there is.

Besides what was his plan? Get launched onto his head in a fight ending Ippon, then.....what? Its not like he let himself get thrown because he thought the rules allowed it, he got thrown because he wasn't good enough to stop it.
