bottom line is Steve it's Ricky who's in there giving and taking them so it's his choice and he still beats any LW in UK so there good fights there for him

Don't need to know him personally its obvious what I say is right, nothing wrong with my eyes. Stevie is properly his biggest fan on here with yourself and his post sums it up perfectly. The last 5 fights or so everyone who has seen Ricky spar says how great he looks, have heard that of loads of different folk, but the fact for 5 fights on trot he has not transferred that form into fight night proves he looks mentally done. As for supporting him, there is not a single fight in his career I have not wanted him to win. Back our own

Very similar to Groves after he lost to Froch last time out with regards to fact is always stretching out of reach and looks gun shy. Both been damaged mentally.

the thing is moog and I know you can't understand this, you have no idea what a top level fighter goes through day in day out, yet you make pass remarkable comments regarding them
If you were put in a top level fighters boots you would be ****ting your pants before a fight, you think there's nothing to it, do remember the whole of Scotland really depended on Ricky's wins for more shows that alone brings pressure

Not disputing he is under enormous pressure but the more experienced he got as a world champion the more he should get used to it, not the other way round. Your right I have not been in his position but to be frank I have been in a lot worse physical condition than getting my jaw broke, and what did I do, fought like I have never fought to stay alive, that's more pressure than getting paid a 6 figure sum to fight a guy one on one no weapons with 10,000 fans cheering u to the rafters who hero worship you

Well as our best recent world champion Carl Froch says you learn from your mistakes in channelling your energy, and remembering what you done in the build up to big fights before when you were at your best and replicating it. So that's why experience helps :good

Ricky never changed anything as far as I'm aware in the build up, however he simply came up against an outstanding fighter in Crawford simple, Crawford is by far the best fighter to have fought in Scotland since Alexis Arguelo back in the 80's
I still don't think you have given me a proper answer, I'm asking what would you do?

Well its now what I do that matters its the boxer who is getting paid big monies job to stay focused, hungry and professional in build up, including listening to your trainer ! I would also remember how fortunate I was, how proud and humble I was of the 10,000 or so paying fans to watch me, and think this is my arena, my domain I aint going to runaway, I will take the fight to the **** and I am getting paid 6 figures for this fight how lucky am I living the dream.

Guys who work in the city getting paid way more than any boxer suffer stress and have nervous breakdowns because of pressure, should they count themselves fortunate?
Moog I've meet you and your a nice guy but mate you seriously haven't a clue about how a fighter prepares physically and mentally for a fight
Do you think Scott should have handled the pressure better? I'm only asking your opinion has you think you know him inside out, Scott unfortunately had issues out the ring IMO brought on by pressure from within the ring.
Well I know which of the two has handled the pressure better

Billy this whole p1sh , youve never been there youve never done it you cant criticise needs to stop its utter bull**** , i see it on here and on twitter boxers go nuts when criticized yet there the same guys that go nuts n slate footballers when there coupon gets burst , were all fans and say what we see personally all beit differently which makes for discussion and makes forums like this a busy discussion place , your statement ricky never changed anything baffles me as stevie wonder could see after mitchell ricky became caught in the hype and thought he was a puncher after that stoppage , the year of inactivity murdered the hype imo and the wazza financial case and jaw break have mentally broken the boy , but as i says it my opinion and opinions are like ar5eholes we all have them and none the same ;) Bottom line fighters are in there doing what they love and love the praise but with taking the praise theres always the criticisim to go with it , its a simple fact of life , Billy i run a 100 men per shift and for every 10 that like me 90 fukn dispise me but i still sleep everynight and get paid every month :good

yes you comment on things you haven't a clue about, and I know a comment like that will hurt you coz you think u know more than you do but u don't,your a fan with very limited knowledge of the sport, your a top wee guy but you need to remove that chip on your shoulder Steve, when your not right your not right and guess what? these guys a professional and Burns was a top one and people like yourself who hasn't ever boxed and found out how hard it was sparring a wee boy slate Ricky, I know you don't do it as much has moog but he's in his own wee world when it comes to boxing, this thread is dead now.
Comparing your job a site agent and Ricky's is night and day!
Let Ricky get on with his career and wish him well
