    boxibg much higher standard than back then but Ken was great but Ricky blooody he’ll never seen a boxer like Ricky up close on my life just marvellous

    Come on higher standard now? Buchanan went life and death with Duran, Ricky Wouldn`t last 3 rounds with Roberto

    Good fighter no doubt. Nice guy too met him in Glasgow once doing an open workout.

    Was going down as a real legend until the Beltran fight after which he was never the same taking a real pasting in that fight.

    Sad to see him end up with a Dull Boy Chisora CV.

    Big fan of Burns and really admire the man and what he did. Not blessed with fantastic ability so he bridged the gap with an incredible attitude to the sport and reaped the rewards although it feels like he's been shortchanged a bit, hopefully he's got enough to really enjoy retirement.

    In terms of the best to come out of Scotland, no chance. Great career and all that but there's been a few names mentioned in here that are all above him and right now Josh Taylor, still active, has reached heights that Burns never could and was never going to.
