Ricky Burns chased by thugs!

I would have been tempted to just ****ing beat the **** outta them but its really not worth the trouble. I live in a similar area, anyone who does knows that Ricky did the right thing.

I stay about 2 miles from Ricky in Airdrie. One of my best mates stays in his wee estate. I run the same streets. What would Ricky have to gain from hitting them? He isn't the type to go around potraying some hard man image- he is a boxer and its his job.
What has he got to gain other than satisfaction of seeing a cheeky wee **** hit?
He could lose his licence, liberty (if he killed one like a lad from Ricky's old gym did in Coatbridge with one punch) or break his hand and lose cash through not working.

If it was me I'd have tried and gubbed one or went back down with a car load of my pals to do them. But I am a normal bum from round here and has to go about his business. Ricky is a world champ in waiting why would he bother himself with petty **** like that?

 

Most people on here are saying he did the right thing. Read the thread.

Every one thinks he did the right thing, but it would have been nice to see him give the ****ers something to remind them of who he was.

Burns comes across as a humble, hard-working and genuine fella. You'd hope that he'd be a role-model to some of these morons but clearly not.

Hopefully next time Billy Nelson will be following on his bike

burns 135, and what 150 walk around weight...he is a small man...just because you box dosent mean your an inredible fighting machine...especially when your small....have to remember boxing had one division then created several as the little guys couldnt compete...does anyone seriously think floyd could beat up amateur boxer a. joshua....or manny beat up washed up and fat j.mcline...course not they are far too small.

burns is a pro fighter but in a very light division 135, so good on him to stay out of trouble n hopefully he gets big pro fights...but some of you are acting as if he would be mr hardman on the streets...just isnt the case when your that small....love the skills and excitement of the little guys, but im not going to pretend they could beat guys up on the street that are far bigger but less well known.

 

ricky burns and any pro boxer would put any "gangsta" from the streets into orbit, regardless of if they outweigh him by a stone or two, just because they had a few scraps at school or in a council estate park wouldnt put them in the same league as ricky burns

that said well done on burns for not getting involved, they could have had weapons plus he was outnumbered, and even if he did starch one he'd get in trouble for it, he did the right thing :good
