Well said No Mas. I honestly think he should push for the Mitchell fight this year. he'd beat him IMO and would set himself up nicely for a crack at Martinez.
I can't see Mitchells Camp going near Burns until they have a Title.... to much to lose with that fight for them now.... I think that Burns can beat them both if he does the weight bang on... which he should do no bother... and does not over cook it having to wait and wait and wait, this fight will be on and off like a frying pan in a greasy spoon once it is made....:yep
He could easily give Mitchell 5/6 rounds but he will not go any further than he is right now. Far too limited and lucky to be floating around a division that is quiet at the moment domestically, anyone with decent talent coming through will beat him handily. Good luck to the guy though.
I am not sold on Mitchell at all. I think he can put up a good scrap but he has shown nothing against no one of note to get me excited at the moment and fear he will do an Hunter or Cook when he steps up in class. He has been kept far too safe and who knows if he had met Carl Johanesson when Carl was more in his prime then the result could have been the other way round. I am usually over critical of Brit prospects.
The winner will find a definate big fan in me and with an impressive performance hopefully I will have belief that they can actually do something serious at the top end of the division. I am a fan over Scottish boxing and will be supporting Burns come fight night.
