    The "strong mindset" ?? ?

So we have Billy on here telling us that Burns beats Broner and that he is the best/hardest trainer he has worked with and that they want the fight.

Then we have his manager claiming he hasn't got the right mind set?

And people wonder why the fans are starting to turn on Ricky a little bit. It all seems very hard to believe that any of them, Burns and Billy included, really want to fight Broner or unify the division. Seems to me like that they're quite happy to do the bare minimum and defend the WBO against whoever will demand the lowest purse.

I've never been a Burns hater btw I think he's a great talent and a top guy, but all these people around him that seem to have no confidence in him will ultimately mean he'll never be a real legend of the sport which is a shame.

Didn't JMM keep his title if he wished after losing to PAC?

The task of fighting in the US might be what AM is referring to, not the opponent. I hope, anyway. If he did lose theWBO fighting Khan he'd almost certainly get an easy fight for the vacant title

What's to say Khan won't come down to 135 and try to pick up Burns paper title?

I still don't get why the fight being in the states would mean that Burns currently has the wrong mind set. What is likely to change in 3 months time from the current situation?

He watches a bit more american TV and gets used to phrases like "elevator" and "egg plant" and then he's suddenly more ready for his fight with Broner?

For a manager to say his fighter has "the wrong mindset" publicly is insulting to the fighter and also makes him look weak. A big part of boxing is the mental side and while Broner oozes confidence we now have Burns manager saying he's mentally unprepared. It's like giving round one to your opponent before the fight has even started.

I think when a fight gets hyped up and doesn't happen it starts off with excitement, then frustration, then anger, then if it goes on too long it gets to the point of nonchalance.

I'm now at the stage where I am close to not really caring any more as the topic has got dull, and that's usually a sign that the horse has or is about to bolt. If they don't make the fight extremely soon then it's appeal will have waned and even if it does happen no one will really care as much.

so no Broner fight in the forseeable future then Billy? Morrison clearly doesn't want it and he clearly doesn't think Burns can beat him

Looks like the Burns camp are saying he has reached his level and are going to sit on the WBO for as long as they can.

    Basically nailed his career then
