Ricky Burns ducked THE big fight in that weight division against THE top name at 135 and one of HBO's newest high profile stars. That is nothing but a disgrace and there's nothing Billy Nelson can say to cover that over.

Unless Broner vs Burns is made for the next possible date then its a farce and disgrace

Craney beating Demarco for the WBC does not make Broner the man at lightweight, ffs Demarco won that title by a fluke win against Linares after being schooled for ten rounds

what is it with you and the WBC? is it the nice green leather that you like?

Vazquez and Burns are both more highly regarded than Demarco at the weight

I agree, but De Marco is better than anyone Ricky has fought at Lightweight, and lets be honest, there were plenty of the Burns crew on here, saying "De Marco was gonna beat Broner, and it was no easy fight before the fight" etc etc etc, blah blah blah.

True, he is a good win on Broners resume, no doubt, doesn't make Broner the top guy at the weight though, just makes him Demarcos replacement. You are also right that some people were a bit too dismissive of Demarco. It cannot be argued however, that Demarco didn't fight an absolutely horrible ****ing fight against Broner, only this time, Broner didn't let him off the hook like Linares did.

I think someone else put it well, Demarco didn't so much beat Linares, as much as Linares managed to find a way to lose again lol
