HE CAN'T JUST GO TO MATCHROOM. HE'S GOT A CONTRACT SIGNED WITH FRANK W PROMOTIONS AND HAS TO OBIDE BY FRANK UNTIL IT RUNS OUT WHENEVER THAT MAY BE. THE ONLY WAY HE COULD GET OUT OF IT, WOULD BE A MUTUAL AGREEMENT (DeGale), TERMS OF THE CONTRACT BEING BREACHED (Bellew).

You have got people tweeting Burns telling him to join Hearn, and people telling Hearn to sign up Ricky. Yet I can bet the majority of those people didn't care about Ricky Burns 2 years ago. Now that he is on the brink of becoming a real international star they jump on the bandwagon.

'Ricky Burns deserves better' Yeah, and Frank helped get him into a position where he deserves better. People forget all this.

This is what really pisses me off.

Thats a good point you make, mr genius. It was Frank who got Ricky an unexpected shot at Martinez, & I have always stated here that I am grateful for what ****** did for Burns, imo Frank has been nothing short of excellent for Ricky Burns.

I dont get all the hoopla surrounding the fight being postponed for a month, Vasquez got sick, sickness happens. So Frank gets a new date & we have that old fud Alex Morrison running his mouth of in the press as usual, saying relationships are strained??? OK so its been a bad 6 months for Ricky, but the fight is still on... I seriously dont get the Frank hate that has erupted on the forums recently.

As for people saying Burns should run to Eddie Hearn, is this the same Ediie Hearn that is always getting sly digs in at Burns at every opportunity in his interviews? Eddie has a problem with Burns, **** knows why but he does. So I dont see Ricky & Eddie holding hands & signing contracts anytime soon.

***** has done a good job with Burns IMO until recently and deserves some credit. After losing to domestic level Carl Johanson Ricky could easily have been on the road to bumsville
if Warrren didn't do one of his classic rebuilding jobs (no uk promoter has ever done it better) he got Martinez to bring his belt to Scotland and then got the timing perfect to bring Katsidis over here on a plate etc. I like Hearn but lets not proclaim him as some kind of god who can do no wrong. He has a massive contract wth Sky and pretty much has the budget to do wat he likes. If ****** was serving up shiity Prizefighters every two minutes we would savage him. Look at Brook for example, since he left ****** he hasn't exactly gone that much further has he? Ok it was unlucky about the Alexander fight but again, if it was Warrren serving up the 'this is its' he'd have been battered. look ***** is probably in abit of bother ££ wise as he has been before hence the postponements etc - He will be back though, no matter what the man is a fighter and a legendary uk promoter...the man to Break the old, corrupted regimes controlling uk boxing, championed the excellent Medical facilities in British boxing we now have, made his fighters like Hatton/Calzaghe/Naz etc rich fighting cupcakes in the uk before they left him to go stateside etc etc.

Burns should give him a chance to sort himself out and stand by him- Ricky/ Morrison don't want anything to do with Broner so its not as if hes fcuking up there chance of getting that fight or anything.

    Firstly has Cleverly beaten Shumenov?

3 years ago Frank didn't care much about Ricky Burns, only bidding $60,000 and losing the purse bids for the Martinez fight to the Puerto Ricans. The fight only came to Scotland because Martinez's team couldn't put the money together.

Frank has since done an amazing job with Ricky, especially at Lightweight where his record is quality. Until the last 6 months where he has royaly cocked things up. If a fighter lost twice in a row, Frank would drop them from there contract (has done this many times), so if Frank as a promoter fails twice to secure fights, the fighter is also well within there rights to want to move on.

    See my above post ^^^^

Fans on here myself included do go over the top regarding Hearn, he isn't doing anything paticuarly special. He keeps fighters active, gets them opportunites, moves them forward, gets them exposure, makes good fights and pays them. These things are only celebrated because no other promoter is capable of doing these things.

He doesn't have the budget to do whatever he likes. He got the Sky contract through putting on good shows and delivering what Sky asked. Regarding Brook he has progressed. He had never fought beyond domestic level, never been beyond 7 rounds, hadn't fought in Sheffield for 6 years . The reason why Hearn didn't get Brook a world title fight straight away is because he wasnt ready. Not expirienced enough and not a big enough name to make a decent purse. He has both of those now. Why is Brook so happy with Hearn if he hasn't progressed?

Wasn't Brook 1 fight away from a world title shot with VVarren? 2 years later he's almost in the same position

    1) Read my post again.
    2) He was WBO No.1 for a year but no attempt was made to make the fight. Source: Kell Brook,
    3) Why did Brook leave Frank if he was 1 fight away from a world title?

Brooks goal as a boxer, like 99% of other fighters is to set themselves up for life. He doesn't do that by fighting and losing in a vacant title fight on an undercard at Wembley Arena for £70,000.

He does it by winning a legit world title against marquee fighter, by being an attraction and selling tickets, by putting himself in a position to fight mega fights.

You don't need to lay me out instructions mate, "1,2,3" - I'm not thick - I couldn't remember if he was 1 fight away, I thought he was but wasn't sure, seem to remember him winning WBO shite belt or something, that's why I asked.

Hearns done well building Brook a fan base in Sheffield.

EDIT - and hang on...wasn't Manny Pacquiao WBO champion at the time?!!!!

Sorry mate. Thought you were blindly going off Franks BS. You would be thick to believe the guy. In fairness you have been attacking me allot recently. Some justified, most not. Again sorry for misreading.

He was WBO No.1 but instead of pushing for purse bids or setting up an eliminator vs Mike Jones the WBO No.2, Frank made him fight Phillip Kotey in a fight that only got on TV because of pull outs in other fights.

If Burns for whatever reason got out of his contract he shouldn't sign with Hearn. Go to Goldenboy and fight in the US for 3x the amount of money. Matchroom is the place to be for up and coming fighters. Although they have done a great job with Froch who was in a simular position to Burns is now when he left Hennesey.
