I don't intentionally attack anyone, just call it as I see it, I'm as honest as they come and I have found you to be very pro one promoter, starting a lot of threads against said promoter as well. My opinion on promoters is they are all cut from the same cloth, I've been to shows from a few of them, always found VVarrens to be very good with good undercards and not bad prices, it's fairly obvious he's going through hard times but some of the stick he gets is in my opinion, ludicrous for a promotional outfit who have put on some fantastic shows over many many years, when other promoters seem to not be picked up on the same actions. Going back to Kell, I think Brook's overall in a better position now because he's built a fan base and has been given profile on Sky as he's been one of Matchrooms top boxers in their stable in comparative terms to other promoters. Not sure he was ready for a world title under VVarren either.
I openly admit I favour Hearn over Frank. But my reasons are for purley Boxing reasons. Hearn & Frank want to make money, I just think the way Hearn goes about trying to make money is better. I like what Matchroom have done with other sports, and I like the way they handle boxing. There shows are worth the money, I prefer boxing on Sky since Hearn got involved, I think he is more honest than most promoters, I like the way he handles fighters. When Frank does something I like I congratulate him, when he does something bad I critacise him. Same with Hearn. Beleive me if I was told that Kessler had not signed the deal and wasn't coming, that Frampton had not been paid, that Hearn was losing tons of cash I would post about it. Giving free tickets to Brook fans who booked to Detroit was an empty gesture. I have said Barker and Groves opponents are ****. I don't like Prizefighter. I think McCloskey is the worst fighter in the UK to watch. I didn't like the way Harrison got a world title fight. But honestly that the only things I can think Eddie has done wrong since he came into boxing. I supported the Haye vs Chisora fight.I subscribed to BoxNation for a period of time. I paid for the PPV's Frank put on. I attended Frank shows. I praised him for making Mitchell vs Burns, Mitchell vs Katsidis, Murray vs Mitchell, Getting Murray the Rios fight, Burns 2011/2012 at Lightweight, bringing back the Bunce show, Groves vs Johnson, the way he has built up Billy Joe Saunders has been class, the wau he got Cleverly to a world title was class, he has done a good job with Liam Smith. Thats all I can praise him for since 2010.
Fair enough. I'm a big darts fan and player, in your opinion what do you like about what Matchroom have done for darts?
I like what they have done setting up the Premier League for Darts & Snooker. Went to a Matchroom darts event at Ally Pally for a stag and it was an awsome night, would go again. Im not a fan of Poker but its popularity in this country has allot to do with Matchroom. If they can boost Boxing to the same way it will be a good thing.
The Premier League is like what Prizefighter is in boxing, only worse. It's terrible for the hardcore fan and full of mostly absolute ****s at every event. It doesnt even affect any rankings in darts.
Well I am not a hardcore darts fan. I am a hardscore boxing fan and like what they are doing with Boxing.
For me Hearn vs Frank is allot like AVB vs Redknapp, with Daniel Levy as the Barney Francis. Redknapp did well for a while but was never quite as popular as he thought, jumped ship and it didnt really work out so Spurs backed a young up and comer in AVB with fancy #newagemanagment. Redknapp stayed loyal to his old school ways . Redknapp faced legal trouble and financial trouble. Ends up at a club that loses tons of money. AVB gets a big win at Spurs vs United (Froch vs Bute) but Redknapp and fans still harp back to the good old days under Arry. As time goes on Redknapp, always a fighter continues to fall away while AVB at Spurs continues to push on with better resources and players.
Ricky will fight Vasquez on April 20th. Its quite clear that this will happen when you look past all the drama.
"The treatment of him is pretty disrespectful," added Morrison, who refused to confirm whether Burns will fight on the re-arranged April 20 date. "They can say what they want about it. I'm not saying if it is or isn't going to go ahead on that day. "Let's just say our relationship with Frank ****** is pretty strained."
I recall Brook being stuck on the back burner by fisheyes who was going Khan Mad at the time which i thought was wrong . As we see with Matchroom though each fighter is given their share of exposure and getting regular fights
