He must be suffering financially at the moment Jeff. That's two whole camps paid for and wasted, plus he's still owed money for Mitchell.
I still think Broner wins but we all still want the fight,so make the big offer and tie Ricky up now, because they will be looking to pay some bils now and that means full houses at the SECC against guys outside the top 5.
GBP could tie him up for September meaning they both get a fight and full camp to prepare.

I dont know and I really dont care the guy even ducked Broner talking about not having enough time to train when Broner would have had the same GBP and everybody else is just tired of the excuses no reason to wait on a non money fight.

Can't see Eddie letting him anywhere near Broner. They'll just wait for that storm to pass.

As I said they are happy that Broner moves up, because he is sick of waiting for burns.

Almost a year with no income is bad enough. Add in the additional camp expenses, and he likely is hurting.

If I'm GBP, I dangle a decent signing bonus in exchange for a fight this summer in the States.

Come on! They (Golden Boy) had already offered him his biggest pay day, by far. 2 or 3 times more than he had ever made. That wasn't enough. They(GB) are right to wash their hands of the matter and move on.

Hope GB never offers Burns another fight!

I think it would have just been easier for him to take the fight, and then leave Frank. He had a big fight in front of him. He probably could have had more of a bargaining chip in the negotiations, if he had beaten Vazquez. Big IF.

It's the right move mate, and regardless of what her majesty and others like her say,it was a sound business decision to knock back the Feb date.
Broner may well ruin Burns in front of a big audience(although hopefully Ricky can at least put up a good fight) so regardless of these offers that everyone thinks they know the exact terms on,half a camp for such a dangerous fight just to get HBO off Broner's back would have to provide enough of a security blanket to fund a possible back to scratch campaign.
If he'd beat Vasquez(and that's no given) he would've had far more bargaining power, but 13 year olds think that they'd fight all the top names every fortnight just for the "fans" and the "legacy"

Had to laugh at the comment about Broner having the same time to prepare for a date he knew well in advance he had to fill.
If he'd(Broner) got anyone else,Burns would've been slaughtered if his next opponent is Rees, and it could well be.
GBP should make the offer now so Ricky is tied up and has no excuses, but #TeamDisneyPrincesses know it's time to cut loose and try to change tack as their agenda is crumbling.

I thought that too mate, but I've spoken to people involved and they were genuinely at the end of their tether.
Ricky and his manager have taken a big,big hit here, and they don't believe the fight was going to happen.
Strange that Vasquez makes noises about money, then pulls out sick.
There's far more evidence to support the fight not happening.

Broner has mentioned Ricky's name in nearly every interview over the last 12 months, how very convenient then that just as Ricky breaks his promotional shackles Broner is now uninterested and is moving up ?
Ricky was as refreshing, humble and honest as ever in his interview, and said he's comfortable at 135,but would be willing to move to 140 if there was a big fight with enough money on the table.
I don't remember Eddie lining up a row of road sweepers for Froch after he took over his affairs,i'm sure the big fights will be made.
Don't lose heart mate, keep preaching to these heathens, eventually they will see the light. :good

Strange, Ricky moved up because he couldn't make 130 and was accused of moving up to avoid Broner, now Broner is fighting a guy who has been fighting 2 divisions above him just as Ricky gets out of his promotional hell and Burns still somehow gets accused of ducking.

You can't have it both ****ing ways...
