I can see Cabellero moving up soon if he can't get Gamboa, Lopez or John. 5'11 v 5'10 fighter @130 lbs must be some sort of record if he fights Burns.

Well deserved ranking! I was also one of the people who had written him off before the fight and he proved me wrong big time. Hopefully he looks at fighting some of the other belt holders or top contenders, rather than looking to fight domestic oppostion again. I can't believe Paul Appleby was mentioned as a possible first defence of the title!!

Quality man .I checked it on Monday and couldn't see anything .Hope he stays a world class operator for atleast a few years man .For Scottish boxing man .The only 2 other world champions in the UK now are Haye and Khan .A superfight shouldn't be far away for Burns man .Just hope he holds onto it .Not like Alex Arthur Nicky Cook for example Bernard Dunne all lost there's on first defences .Good luck to Booth and Munroe as well man .In a couple of yrs man if he stays at the top he could get a bigger name man and more recognition , hopefully.Wonder if any of them top featherweights will move up anytime soon .

It shows how overrated an undefeated record can be.

I hope this win will be the making of Ricky , looking forward to some great nights !

Don't think a decision has been made yet, mate.

If he can consistently pull off the sort of form he did last week, then I think Frank might as well push Burns. The division is there for the taking at this point in time. Hopefully Burns will get a unification at some point next year. Why the **** not?

Warren can be very shrewd with Burns now. I reckon there could be some great nights on the horizon up in Scotland soon:yep. Burns could very well be Frank's new 'name' fighter from his roster.

Frank might be worried that Ricky's form might drop if he puts him back in with domestic fighters and so may be eager to put him in with world beaters.

I guess Billy was right in saying that the better/more dangerous his opponent is, the better he performs.

He looked a completely different fighter to the one that could have ended up with a draw against O'Hara - if the close rounds went the other way.

I'd stick him in (there's a surprise :yep) - let's find out what he's made of.

Billy, which fighters would you like Ricky to take on next year? Does he want a unification at some point now he is rightfully one of the top guys in the division?:think

Put him in with Cassius Baloyi next, that would be a great defence.

Going by the report in this weeks BN, Baloyi is pretty much done.

I heard he's still thinking it through.

No shame if he retires though.

Burns isn't that good. He's in trouble when he actually faces a decent boxer with power and not just a brawler.
