I heard this the other week myself TBF to this guy, Was told this Saturday was Ricky's last fight with Billy.

All rumors, could be total bollocks. But seems like my man isn't only one who's heard this. Sure Billy will have his say..

 

Ricky has made big improvements since training with Billy Nelson and don't really think he would shift trainers unless something really bad has happened between him and Billy. Imo it's bull**** but you never know.

It's a change of promoter he really needs.

 

Cant see it with Broner only 2 fights away. Ricky seems to be more level headed than to make such a big decision at this point. If Broner bashes him up then fair enough but not right now, be a very risky decision.

 

I heard he was considering this a while ago and that he was pissed off with Billy but would be very surprised if he left. Think a couple guys have left him, I know Simmons is with Danny Vaughan since just before his last fight.

 

I've heard there is only Ricky and 1 other left at Billy's gym, but this could just be rumour. But this also means that Billy can concentrate all his time on Ricky and the other fighter.

Will that be Saunders? Not a bad 2 to have in your camp to be fair. Will be interesting to see if we get a comment from Billy on all these rumours.

 

Aint being funny but this database error on here is a joke, I just typed up a post to this thread, completely lost because of that bug. What year are we in again?

To summarize:

I wouldnt talk about this until it is 100% confirmed, But I have felt for a while, although I didnt say it out of respect for Billy, that Ricky will look to move on elsewhere for a "named" trainer.

But I didnt expect that to come at this specific moment in time, If Im honest I expected it to come, if, after he looses to Broner or a Vazquez etc etc

So while I wouldnt be surprised, I would be if it was at this moment in time. But I reckon its just a BS rumor, and Billy will be here soon enough the play it down.

 

he lost a few he managed as well its only Ricky and David Brophy since S Simmons ..M Roberts to Danny Vaughan and S Watson moved Back to Colin McNeil :bbb But i cant see Ricky moving the now but can see him leave at some point after all he did leave Rab when he had to

 

Disappointing, hope its just a rumor.
Nelson deserves the chance to pit his fighter up against the elite....he's got Burns fighting to his stengths IMO
