He's got to fight somebody. Dont expect him to jump in with Broner though.

Sorry but unless you go and fight on the World stage in the states, then you haven't proven yourself to be on the World level.

I want to see Burns fighting in the states, same goes for Brook against the best guys in the division

Most of the memorable nights involve seeing our fighters go over the pond and take on the best, that is what matters and thats what gets the recognition and respect.

Say what you want but that is what Khan has done, Froch has done it.

NAZ did it best, Hatton did it later than he should have and Calzaghe waited far to long.

The only time that Broner has got anywhere near 8 rounds he got a massive gift against Ponce. Broner won't be able to bully boy Burns, he'll be taken into deep water and he'll sink.

:huhSo Monzon never proved he was on 'world level' until June 1975 when he was 83-3-9 and had been the man at MW for the whole decade?

Is David Haye not 'world level' yet?

Ive only seen broner once, he is good.
ricky is possibly the most improved fighter in the country, he is way way above domestic level, which the mitchell fight proves, even mitchell is border line euro level.
Put him in with broner, i dont see the problem, if broner would fight sykes why not burns?

how many times have you seen broner fight?

a domestic level fighter is somebody who cant beat better opposition than those in his country, paulus moses won the WBA in Japan, so theres one opponent alone outside domestic level.

Rocky Martinez has won in the states and england, recently winning back his title against Beltran Jr in the states again.

Michael Katsidis domestic level? what would that make burns seeing as nobody but me and a few others gave Burns a chance when that fight was announced?

Kevin Mitchell has won in the states and had just beaten the undefeated Eurpean champion, European champions are above domestic level, Europe is bigger than England.

And you talk about Adrien Broner emulating Mayweather, Mayweather had a debatable win over Castillo, Broner has a debatable win over Fernando ****ing Quintera, all comparisons can end right there.

"Sooner or later, we'll get the fights like Broner, and we'll see then won't we?"

who the **** has Broner beaten that would make him, in your mind, the best win in Burns career? What if he loses to DeMarco? who has he beaten to prove himself ABOVE Burns? so Burns is domestic level and Broner is world level even though Burns has a much better resume? Because Burns is Scottish and Broner is American?

    LOL

Burns in his tenth fight beat the then undefeated British Champion on short notice

to still call him domestic level is ludicrous

All fighters have had debatable wins and gifts, stop using this guys. This is boxing, how do you think Marquez feels? No matter what we say, what some of those f*cking blind judges say, goes. Simple.

We could sit here all day and argue about what fights certain fighters have lost, but to then get a gift of a win. It has happened for years, and will continue to happen. All fighters have a night where they weren't at their best, I'm not defending Broner like some of you are making out, I'm just pointing out the facts.

Ricky Burns seems like a fantastic humble Scottish lad and decent fighter who has improved very much. But he is still nowhere near as good as some of you are making out, I understand you may be massive fans of the fighter, but please don't let this cloud your judgement. He has only fought domestically, against other fighters who have fought here a lot. Katsidis is one of these. Katsisdis is a great fighter who has fought at elite level, and come short. That DOES NOT make him a world class fighter because he fought at elite level......in that case, Audley Harrison is elite level because he fought David Haye.

    It doesn't work like that.

Broner fights a style that would make Ricky look silly, and he would loose the will to live in the ring, because he wouldn't be able to take control like he does in his other fights. All though Ricky Burns is a careful fighter, in terms of counter punching, you always feel he has the ability to control a fight. He would be chasing a rainbow here, but there is no gold pot at the end of it, and as soon as he starts to realize the fight is getting away from him, bang, walks straight onto a telegraphed practiced shot.

Mayweather Hatton all over again, although I believe Ricky Burns is a little smarter than Hatton.....I see it ending in a similar way. But there is nothing for Ricky to be embarrassed about.

Broner may have made slow and steady progress, so far. But sooner or later it will take of, rapid growth. Mayweather went from a boring unappreciated fighter, winning on points, to finishing fights and winning very fashionably....I see the same happening here.
