    I read this over at the scene and he says his food bill has doubled and he is eating lots more, yes defintly sounds like a guy who was struggling to make weight :lol:

    He wasn't struggling to make weight at all. Everybody knows this. ****** didn't want him fighting Broner because if he lost he'd have no control. He loses to Katsisdis ****** still has control of the belt for future fights. He is being exploited by ****** for his financial gain. Wish folk would get off Ricky's back for it- it is hardly his fault- is he going to come out and tell the world that his promoter is mugging him off?

    Burns is going to get brutalised by Kats.

    Can't believe it's 6/5 for Katsidis by KO/TKO I'm all over that like a tramp on special brew!

    No the best thing he could of done and would of got alot of respect for is say he is the champ and at 28 does not want to be going to the States on the other guys promotion in his backyard add to that Broner is seen as the future, so he decided to vacate and move up and fight a world class fighter who has bean over here twice and knocked out both the Brits he has faced. That would of been fine.

    What does it matter how he explains his motivation for doing it? he would rather have kept his belt! so he should tell another lie like you propose and that would get respect but he gets no respect for repeating his promoters lie?!???

    How much clout do you think Burns has within ****** Promotions? **** all! he aint a great earner for them and he holds a belt for an organisation that ****** holds undue influence in.

    Ricky aint som ehighly sought after and marketable commodity who is financially secure like Haye, De Gale or Froch. He is a quiet, shy guy who has to do what he is told in order to try and maximise his earning potential. His life is in others' hands.

    Tell a lie? How is it telling a lie? It is quite easy to see what has happened him and his team don't fancy travelling to this so called future superstars backyard with everything against them when he is the champ? That is acceptable for me and I would say many on here if he has a good back up plan which he has a great fight with Katsidis, where the **** is the lie? That is exactly what has happened.

    But instead he has fed us bull**** he can't make weight and now as the fight draws closer forgets his weight making bull**** and tells the world he is eating like a pig and his food bill has doubled because he has moved up weight.

    Quite simple explanation really. ;)
