There is more to it than being in good shape in regards to his fitness.

Getting the right amount of sparring with the kind of fighters he needs is a big issue in 7 weeks. Also, I suspect burns would want to be mentally 100% - something that a 7 week camp at short notice would struggle to achieve. Lets not forget the potential for having to accept a **** hole deal financially and a promoter that didn't want the fight too.
