at this point and time Rob ,that is speculation is it not ? also it was saying there glasgow so could have been either braehead,Kelvin hall etc .but keep up the good work in the thread
can't wait, pleased for Ricky being given a bigger arena than the wee Kelvinhall, hope it's not that polish guy he's fighting.
According to Boxrec his nest opponent is Matt Zegan and having a browse at his record makes grim reading...fights like these damage boxing....we need more competitive fights....
Kelvin Hall is about 2200 I think, Braehead can hold between 3000 and 5000 depending on how the hall is set up. SECC can hold 8500 for boxing but cost a shitload more to hire.
I would think so, Harrison was a much bigger name than Burns is at the moment though so 5000 may be a bit too much for Ricky to sell just now. I really hope he makes a go of it though and has a few defenses of his belt to build up his name to the general public. It's been too long since Scottish boxing had a "name".
Nutjob; Martinez really wasn't that good, anyone who'd watched him beforehand could see that. The surprise was how good Burns was that night. Thing is, the rumoured opponent for December is PATHETIC. Mark my words, if Martinez moves up to 135lbs he will be sparked by the first 'live' opponent he faces.
yeh mate I have seen Martinez fights before he was nothing spectacular. I don't doubt that Burns had allot of things going his way. It was the best of Burns and maybe not the best of Martinez.
Burns has quite a few good opponents to pick from and a couple of domestic rivals that could come in for the fight. To be honest it will take alot for me to be disapointed in who they pick for the opponent.
