    nice one for ricky and billy. a 50-50 fight. just prooves the loosing a couple of fights early in your career is not such a bad thing.

    I have a lot of respect for Ricky. He is a beautiful boxer to watch at times. That said, although I am delighted for him if this happens, I think Martinez is going to be too good for him.

    Of course, I hope I'm proved wrong and I shall be cheering Ricky on!

    He's definetley got the style to beat him as long as he keeps it long and doesn't trade with Martinez. I also reckon Ricky has got a better chin that Cook.

    Hope it's in glasgow, definetly going along to cheer him on.

    Hopefully it comes off, & maybe Im being over cautious but anyone think Ricky should pull out of the Khan bill just to make sure he doesnt pick up any daft injuries like a cut etc considering such a big fight is on the immediate horizon?

    Good news for him, he will most probably pull it off i think he is a more well round fighter than Nicky Cook and he was beating Martinez until he got caught so should be in for good fight.

    I think he has a chance of winning this one - Cook was doing well until he tried to stand and fight with the guy and got caught. I switched over for a sec because Cook was winning easily to check something, the next I saw the belt around Martinez's waist and thought, wtf?

    He will have to be better than he was against O'Hara though - that performance was a bit of a shocker IMO, but to his credit he got the job done.

    ricky is right up for this title shot and imo he will beat martinez,he will deserve it as hes worked his socks off in the last two and a half years.if the fights in glasgow he will get great support from the public.
