There has only been one chance and that was with Broner at 6-7 weeks notice but im positive it will happen, we want to fight the other belt holders after we take care of Beltran who will give us a hard fight
dumbass he has no reason to go there, why does he have to go there? its not like there is loads of good yank fighters in his division to fight
Yes but he lost in the final of the ABA's, hes been working on loads of things since hes been up here and i think you'll see a much improved Lewis next time hes out. Lewis now also understands how hard he needs to work to acheive his goals and thats massive for his own development
To be fair Simmons is fighting a tough Argentinian, Luke Campbell, Cardle, Brophy, Slowey (celtic title) and more all good fights and fighters
Mate your a proper cyber I was just asking why Ricky hasnt boxed out there Why do you abuse everyone on here? is it because in real life your a little neek who wont say boo to a goose
What is it with this **** about having to fight in America, how come nobody ever saids to the American fighters to go fight abroad the arrogance of it all if your the champion you should fight where you make the most money possible
Not disrespecting any of those guys but shouldn't Ricky be sparring a higher level of fighter than young kids fresh out of the ams,he's a world champion.I can only imagine the type of sparring Ray Beltran is doing over in the Wild Card for this fight.Ricky could be in for a rude awakening if he comes in looking like he did in his last fight.
I knw Ricky wants a fight in the US but fcuk that the audience over there don't deserve the big fights. Did you watch the Barker/Geale fight? If that was in Britain or Australia the fans woould have been roaring the full 12 rounds. Great fans add to the occasion.
ive been very pleased with our sparring, do remember sparring young fresh hungry fighters is far better than sparring someone who is just there for the wages please beleive me, not only are you getting your fighter physically fit also mentally sharp and thats what our sparring has done. Both Ricky and myself have learned from the last fight and we will never overtrain or be put in that position again, if Ricky produces 85% of the form hes showing in the gym people will be singing his praises and will quickly realise the first half of the last fight was a blip, even though he showed great determination to get through shomething you cant train into a fighter!:good
Several top fighters wouldnt come up to spar Ricky unfortunatly, its not through the want of trying i can assure you, the lads that have came up have done a great job and have gained valuable experience which can only benifit there career.BN
Excellent, I hope so, I would love to see another TOP Scot rule the world. there hasn't been one since Kenny and the 'bulk' of the very best Scots has been horribly thin since the Golden Age where we ruled for the wee men and at least one big man. Good Luck!
This is going to be a very tough fight for the Rickster. I hope he pulls through. Beltram is an accurate puncher with a good jab, and he throws clubbing, wide hooks. But he also has quite a low workrate and stands square on too much so hopefully Burns nails him with his jab repeatedly and makes him pay.
Thanlfully Ray Beltran doesn't have much legs so he'll be right in front of Ricky, Gonzalez made Ricky over-reach and telegraph his punches pretty badly last time Billy, is that something you've been working on?
