Ricky Burns v Adrien Broner

Broner absolutely annihilates Burns.

 

I like Burns, he's good, but I wouldn't give him much chance in with Broner. Burns is big with a decent chin so could see out the twelve but I just don't see how he wins.

 

Broner is horribly overrated.

 

This is becoming a habit....I agree :deal.

When it was being talked about for SFW I said that Burns would win but not get the decision. Broner's showing improvement now and I'd probably slightly favour him. It's never going to happen though.

 

I don't think broner has the consistency to beat burns. Certainly not easily.

He's more flash than fire. Good moves, some nice combos, decent power, but he's sloppy and can be out-manoeuvred (as we saw against ponce). Burns is basic in a lot of ways, but he executes his plan consistently. High workrate, varied attack, good movement, decent chin.

I can see a tight battle where Ricky's industry or Broner's harder shots would be the preference it comes down to.

I would love for this fight to happen so I could bump this thread to point and laugh.

 

And then everyone will point back and say "only ******s take the internet so seriously".
