    Only thing that makes me think Burns might get the points win is his height advantage.....Broner=5ft7 Burns =5ft10.

    round 1- a close round in which De Leon was the better man throughout, it came down to him simply landing more shots, he did it off the back foot effectively

    round 2- De Leon landed an eye catching flashy flurry of shots which seemed to have swung one of the commentators his way, apart from that Broner was the better ring general throughout the round and quietly went about his countering and offsetting his man. I could see it for De Leon on the strength of his big flurry but the round is three minutes long.

    round 3- Massive round for De Leon, he outboxed, outslugged, and at times did both to r his man, he made Broner not want to advance, great round for De Leon

    round 4- Broner outboxes De Leon, his best round and the only clear one for him so far

    round 5- Broner finally gets his act together and remembers that the straight right is key vs the southpaw and uses it to pot shot to victory

    round 6- Broner lands some shots which are the best of the round but De Leon outworks him with many aesthetically unpleasing punches, the round must be scored objectively and De Leon clearly took it. One of the commentators embarrassingly gave it to Broner, which makes me feel ok about disagreeing with them on round 2, idiots.

    round 7- a very good round to watch, exciting ****, Broner edged with good counters off the front and off the back foot

    round 8- De Leon outboxes his man in a close round, pressing the action to get off the shots that count on the cards

    round 9- clear Broner round, he had De Leon missing wildly and hitting a lot of arms and elbows, De Leon tried to steal the round at the death but you have to be a bad judge to go buy that.

    round 10- a good and somewhat close round, Broner did the cleaner work and missed less and took the round for me.

    I had ot 96-94 for Broner. The only round I felt dodgy on was round 2, but I refuse to give even rounds and had to go one way, if I would have went the other way it would have been a draw for me. Ot reminds me of Mayweather-Castillo 1 when everyone clutched at straws and jumped all over the fight as though Mayweather had been battered around the ring when it was a close fight that could have went either way, I had that fight a draw btw.

    All you guys who are acting like Broner got his ass handed to him are being mad. I thought he won, as I did the first time I saw it, that's twice scored for the same fighter now and this time my card is in.

    I'm out of this hating hole.

    burns wins it for me on points, he doesn't get the credit he deserves. world class fighter and would definitely give broner problems.

    Ricky is highly disciplined and executes the game plan brilliantly but Broner is unpredictable with fast and heavy hands. Broner will stop brave Ricky.

    I wouldn't be confident enough to put my hand in my wallet, but with his jab and size advantage Ricky would have a chance. I agree it's unlikely to happen though - probably more so from Broner's side though as there's likely to be bigger pay days out there for him... Lopez / Salido moving up, Gamboa or Rios. Even a year down the line people like Gary Russell JR will have moved further through his division and offer a more attractive opponent to HBO than Ricky. I'm a big Burns fan, but he's not bringing money to the table like Hatton did.

    When i started reading the 1st few posts i thought WTF:shock:.From what ive seen of Broner i wouldnt bet against him if he fought Burns and Mitchell at the same time and i like them both.Pound for Pound king in waiting Broner imo.

    Well you would know.

    Broner is a bit ahead of Ricky at the moment and the gap will only get wider in the next few years... William of Fat will never let that fight happen though and no matter how much crap he comes on here and spouts will make a difference to my opinion.
    Regardless of that Broner is hot property and Ricky simply put isn't so the yanks won't let it happen.

    Yes, because I just read an incredibly stupid post. Do try to keep up.

    I would like someone to explain what Broner has done to elicit such favour. Last I checked he's fought a series of unimpressive guys. Certainly no one better than Martinez or Katsidis.

    Or maybe he made some of them look unimpressive? One could make a case for Katsidis being a little shopworn by the time Ricky Burns got to him, and for Martinez not being that great in the first place - and certainly no better than some of Broner's opponents - and the opponents in between are famously not as strong as some would have liked. So I agree with your implied reservation that we need to see Broner in with an elite fighter before we really know, I think that given he is just 22 the level at which Broner is operating, and the manner in which he is dealing with those put in front of him - Perez is really not as bad as he was made to look on Saturday - for me put Broner a notch or two ahead of Burns and moving at a greater rate.

    I'm not baiting, and I like Burns, but if I had to put my house on the outcome of Burns-Broner I wouldn't hesitate to stick it on Broner.
